The 2024–25 PVL All-Filipino Conference continued on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena with four teams playing their final game in the preliminaries. Here’s a recap of what happened:
Cignal Dominates Akari, Secures Third Seed
The Cignal HD Spikers showcased both firepower and defensive tenacity to waylay the Akari Chargers, 25-17, 25-15, 25-21, in a match that Cignal dominated from the get-go.
Roselyn Doria-Aquino shone brightest for the HD Spikers, finishing with 12 points built on 3 blocks to embody the team’s superb defensive effort. Rookie Ishie Lalongisip continued her conference-long brilliance, adding 10 points, while Jacqueline Acuña chipped in 8. Gel Cayuna orchestrated Cignal’s balanced attack flawlessly once more wint 19 excellent sets on top of 5 points.
Faith Nisperos and her 12 points was the lone bright for the Chargers, who managed just 30 kills to Cignal’s 47 and were outblocked 6-3.
With the win, the HD Spikers secured the third seed going into the next round of the 2024–25 PVL All-Filipino Conference as they will have superior match points against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans. Akari, on the other hand, fell to 5-6 and will await the result of the match between Choco Mucho and the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.

Farm Fresh Rallies Past Capital1 Behind Rachel Anne Daquis
Rachel Anne Daquis provided both inspiration and firepower in leading the Farm Fresh Foxies to a reverse sweep of the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 18-25, 21-25, 26-24, 25-19, 15-12.
The Foxies were in an 0-2 hole when Daquis began taking over, displaying the kind of leadership only a battle-tested veteran could provide. She also provided the firepower, finishing with a conference-best 19 points on top of 13 excellent digs. Caitlyn Viray backstopped Daquis’s superb play with 14 markers, while Rizza Cruz added 13. Pierre Abellana and Aly Bertolano chipped in 10 apiece as the Foxies overcame the absence of leading scorer Trisha Tubu.
Leila Cruz led Capital 1 with 15 points, followed by the 14 of Sydney Niegos. Des Clemente-De Guzman and Jorelle Singh had 11 each.
With the win, Farm Fresh moved to 5-6 and the sixth seed in the 2024–25 PVL All-Filipino Conference. Capital1 dropped to 1-10.

The 2024–25 PVL All-Filipino Conference continues on Thursday with another double-header at the PhilSports Arena, with all four teams concluding their preliminaries. The Creamline Cool Smashers will take on the Galeries Tower Highrisers in the first game. The Nxled Chameleons will face off against the Petro Gazz Angels.
