The best of the best of the 2025 PVL Invitational were honored on Sunday night at the awarding ceremonies that closed the curtain on the league’s shortest conference. Fittingly, at the head of the table was Savi Davison, the fearless spiker of the PLDT High Speed Hitters and the champs’ fiery ball of energy and ferocity.
2025 PVL Invitational MVP: Savi Davison
It took a while, but now it’s official: Savi Davison is a PVL MVP. It’s not hard to see why, as she landed in the top 10 in nearly every statistical category. She ranked third in the league in scoring with a total of 94 points built on 81 attacks, 9 blocks, and 4 service aces—despite missing one game.
The 26-year-old Fil-Canadian also ranked second in spiking with a 38.57 percent success rate, third in service at 0.22 aces per set, sixth in blocking at 0.50 per set, and seventh in receiving with a 30.00 percent efficiency.
Fittingly, she ended the 2025 PVL Invitational with another masterpiece—a 20-point showing that towed PLDT past Kobe Shinwa University for their second straight title.

2025 PVL Invitational Best Outside Hitters: Jema Galanza, Nagisa Komatsuda
Creamline Cool Smashers stalwart Jema Galanza was once again named Best Outside Hitter, alongside Kobe Shinwa University’s Nagisa Komatsuda, the guest team’s young but lethal scorer.
Galanza, who has now won this award six times in her decorated career, ranked second overall in scoring with 99 points, seventh in spiking at 30.85 percent, ninth in service at 0.18 aces per set, fifth in digs with 2.36 per set, and third in receiving with a 45.00 percent efficiency. Komatsuda, meanwhile, was the league’s top scorer with 104 points and also finished No. 1 in spiking with a 39.26 percent success rate.
2025 PVL Invitational Best Opposite Spiker: Ara Galang
Chery Tiggo Crossovers veteran Ara Galang played arguably her best conference yet, and she was duly rewarded as she nabbed the Best Opposite Spiker award—the first of her pro career.
Galang finished eighth overall in scoring with 69 points, ninth in spiking at 25.93 percent, fourth in blocking at 0.55 per set, and seventh in digging with 2.00 per set.
2025 PVL Invitational Best Middle Blockers: Pangs Panaga, Riza Nogales
Pangs Panaga of the Creamline Cool Smashers and Riza Nogales of the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles were named Best Middle Blockers of the tournament as both manned the net with fearless intensity and vigor.
Panaga, who has now won this award a record-breaking eight times, led the league in blocking with 0.91 per set on a tournament-best 20 blocks. Nogales, on the other hand, finished just behind Panaga in blocking with 0.59 per set for a total of 10 blocks in the tournament.

2025 PVL Invitational Best Libero: Kath Arado
PLDT’s Kath Arado added a fifth Best Libero award to her accolades to punctuate another strong conference for the ever-reliable veteran. Arado earned the award after leading the league in digging with 5.00 per set and placing second in receiving with a 55.56 percent efficiency.
2025 PVL Invitational Best Setter: Sakura Furuta
Kobe Shinwa may have fallen short of a title, but they still sent two of their best to the winners’ circle after Sakura Furuta was named Best Setter. Cool and precise, Furuta orchestrated Kobe Shinwa’s offense masterfully and topped the league in setting with 5.84 excellent sets per set. She also finished fourth in serving with 0.21 aces per set.
