The PVL Reinforced Conference went to the Ynares Center in Montalban and delivered a thrilling day of volleyball action that started with the Cignal Super Spikers taking on the Nxled Chameleons followed by the PLDT High Speed Hitters facing off with the Farm Fresh Foxies.
Cignal Survives Nxled Behind New Import, Old Reliable
New import Katrin Trebichavska and old reliable Erika Santos teamed up to help the Cignal Super Spikers survive the Nxled Chameleons, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 25-15, 16-14, for back-to-back wins after starting the conference out at 0-2.
Trebichavska and Santos fired 21 points apiece for Cignal, which also got 9 points apiece from Jackie Acuña and Roselyn Aquino and 6 each from Tin Tiamzon and Gel Cayuna. The Super Spikers’ veteran setter added 29 excellent sets as she masterfully orchestrated Cignal’s attacks.
Import Paola Martinez detonated for a conference-high 38 points to lead the gritty Chameleons, who outblocked Cignal, 14-10, but gave up 10 service aces. Chia Fermentilla added 16, while Lyann de Guzman had 11.

PLDT Topples Farm Fresh Despite First-Set Loss
Stunned by the importless Super Spikers the last time around, the PLDT High Speed Hitters were looking for a bounce back against the Farm Fresh Foxies. That’s exactly what PLDT got with a 22-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-16 victory over the erstwhile unbeaten Foxies.
Ambushed in the first set, PLDT quickly turned things around in the second and was dominating soon after to notch its third win in the conference against a lone loss—the same record as Farm Fresh.
Savi Davison led the way for PLDT with 20 points, followed by 18 from import Anastasiia Bavykina. Mary Joy Baron, Kim Dy, and Dell Palomata chipped in 10, 9, and 7, respectively. Eli Rousseaux’s 21 topped all scorers in this one, while Trisha Tubu added 12. Ces Molina had 10.

Next Up in the PVL Reinforced Conference
The PVL Reinforced Conference returns to the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan on Tuesday with a triple bill of Pool B matches. The first match will have the Akari Chargers taking on the Galeries Tower Highrisers, followed by the Petro Gazz Angels facing off with the Zus Coffee Thunderbelles in the second match. The nightcap will feature a battle between the Creamline Cool Smashers and Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
