The PVL Reinforced Conference went to Capital Arena in Ilagan City, Isabela on Saturday for a doubleheader featuring the Petro Gazz Angels taking on the Chery Tiggo Crossovers and the Creamline Cool Smashers facing off with the Galeries Tower Highrisers.
Petro Gazz Outlasts Chery Tiggo Behind Lindsey Vander Weide
Import Lindsey Vander Weide and import-like Brooke Van Sickle combined for 50 huge points to tow the Petro Gazz Angels past the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, 25-15, 20-25, 25-23, 25-21, in a tightly contested four-setter to keep the top spot in Group A pool play within striking distance.
Van Sickle and Vander Weide fired 25 each, with the latter leading the Angels’ 5-0 finishing kick in the fourth set to turn a 21-20 deficit into a 25-21 win for the match. Van Sickle, meanwhile, added 20 excellent digs and 15 solid receptions to her all-around tour de force. Myla Pablo and MJ Phillips chipped in 10 markers each for Petro Gazz, which climbed to 2-1.
Yuni Batista led Chery Tiggo with 21 points, followed by Cess Robles’s 14 markers. Ara Galang put up 9, while Pauline Gaston and Mylene Paat had 6 each for the now 0-3 Crossovers.

Creamline Blasts Galeries Tower in Show of Force
The Creamline Cool Smashers made quick work of the Galeries Tower Highrisers, blanking the latter, 25-9, 25-11, 25-15, in just 68 minutes.
Now 2-1, Creamline relied on a balanced attack to smother Galeries Tower, with import Coco Schwan leading the crowd favorites with 14 markers. Alyssa Valdez delivered 10 points with 2 aces, while Rose Vargas put up a career-best 8. Michele Gumabao, Sheena Toring, and Michele Gamit added 4 apiece.
Galeries was so outmatched that no one reached double digits in scoring. Import Jelena Cvijovic accounted for just 6 points, while Jean Asis had 7 to lead the Highrisers. France Ronquillo and Dim Pacres contributed 5 and 4, respectively, for the 0-3 Galeries.
