Alas Pilipinas led 2-1 before Indonesia showed maturity and grit in set 4 to extend the match to a deciding fifth set. In the last set, Indonesia caught fire early, scoring the first five points of the set. Fahri Putratama and Tedy Syahputra led Indonesia as they built a commanding 9-3 lead.
