The Nxled Chameleons are clearly done waiting on the sidelines.

Ahead of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season, the Chameleons unveiled a refreshed roster highlighted by the arrival of veteran middle blocker Aby Maraño, a move that instantly raises expectations for the young franchise.

Maraño’s signing feels like a turning point for Nxled. A proven winner and respected leader, she brings more than just blocking and quick attacks at the net, as she also brings calm, confidence, and a championship mindset. For a team still carving out its identity, her presence is expected to steady the floor and guide a developing core both on and off the court.

Chameleons Adding Weapons Left and Right

She won’t be carrying the load alone. Fellow La Salle alum Aduke Ogunsanya joins the Chameleons as a much-needed offensive weapon. Known for her scoring ability and physical play, Ogunsanya gives the squad a reliable option when points are hard to come by.

Another key addition is seasoned setter Djanel Cheng, whose experience brings structure and composure to the court. With Cheng orchestrating the offense, Nxled’s attackers are expected to benefit from smarter distribution and better rhythm, especially in pressure-filled moments.

Completing the new-look roster are Ranya Musa and Jonah Sabete, two additions that add depth, flexibility, and fresh energy. Their presence gives the coaching staff more options and strengthens the team’s rotation across different matchups.

Win-Now Moves for Nxled

Taken together, these moves signal a clear shift in direction. Nxled is no longer just building for the future; it’s aiming to compete now. With veteran leadership, added scoring punch, and steadier playmaking, the Chameleons are positioning themselves as a team ready to challenge the league’s established contenders.

As the new season draws closer, the biggest question remains how quickly these pieces will click. But one thing is certain: With Maraño leading the charge, Nxled’s most competitive chapter may be just beginning.
