The Capital1 Solar Spikers are making a strong statement ahead of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season, announcing the addition of eight players as the franchise continues to build depth, balance, and long-term competitiveness.
Pauline Gaston, Cherry Nunag, Ysa Jimenez, France Ronquillo, Jasmine Nabor, Shaya Adorador, Rachel Jorvina, and Ezra Madrigal are the latest names to join the Solar Spikers’ growing roster. The influx of new faces brings a mix of youth, versatility, and experience—clear indicators of Capital1’s intent to move forward with clarity and purpose.
Capital1 Addresses Pressing Needs
The signings address multiple needs across the floor. Gaston and Nunag add size and presence in the middle, bolstering the team’s blocking and front-row stability. Jimenez and Ronquillo provide much-needed flexibility on the wings, offering scoring options while contributing on floor defense.
Nabor and Adorador are expected to steady the team’s receive and transition game, while Jorvina and Madrigal add valuable options in terms of tempo, court coverage, and overall rotational depth.
Madrigal’s signing also comes with a familiar reunion, as she will once again play under head coach Jorge de Brito, whom she previously worked with when she played for the Akari Chargers.
An Eye on the Long Term
More than just individual upgrades, the eight-player haul reflects a deliberate roster philosophy for Capital1—one centered on adaptability and cohesion. With a blend of emerging talents and players poised for expanded roles, the Solar Spikers are positioning themselves for sustained growth rather than short-term fixes.
As preparations for the 2026 season begin, Capital1’s latest moves send a clear message: with a deeper supporting cast around Bella Belen, the Solar Spikers are intent on shedding their bottom-tier status and pushing toward a true breakout in the upcoming PVL campaign.
