For Imee Hernandez, the 2026 season marks less a transfer than a reset.
The middle blocker has signed with Strong Group Athletics, the sports company that operates two teams in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL)—the Farm Fresh Foxies and the Zus Coffee Thunderbelles—following the dissolution of her former club, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
Hernandez’s time with Chery Tiggo was marked by interruption. Limited by injury, she spent much of the season on the sidelines, unable to fully establish her presence or rhythm in the middle. For a position that thrives on timing, repetition, and court awareness, the lost minutes mattered.

A Shot at a Career Restart for Imee Hernandez
Hernadez’s move to Strong Group Athletics offers a chance to begin again—this time with two rebuilding teams that could benefit from her size, blocking instincts, and experience at the net. Whether she suits up for Farm Fresh or Zus Coffee remains to be seen, but both squads enter the new season with clear needs in the middle, particularly in stabilizing their front-line defense and quick-attack options.
If Hernandez plays for the Foxies, she would man the middle alongside Des Clemente, Rizza Cruz, Lorene Toring, and Ria Meneses. If she goes to the Thunderbelles, Hernandez will play alongside Caroline Santos, Thea Gagate, Sharya Ancheta, AC Miner, Riza Nogales, and Maika Ortiz.
For Imee Hernandez, the upcoming season is less about proving something new than finally showing what had been put on hold.
