Alex Eala successfully finished her Round of 32 match against Katarzyna Kawa after the rain postponed their match multiple times for how many hours on September 30.
The Rain Never Cooled Down Eala in Set 1 Onwards
Originally scheduled to begin their match at 10:00 AM, the now No. 56 Alex Eala of the Philippines had to overcome multiple delays from the bad weather in China.
In Set 1, the score was only 2-2 before the match got postponed due to bad weather, as the rain heavily affected the hardcourt where the athletes were playing.
When action resumes, the Filiprima does continue to showcase her relentless agility and stamina as she dominates the opening frame.

In the second set, things started to heat up as the No. 112 Kawa now started to show some life and fought back well against the semifinalist of the previous Jingshan Open. The 32-year-old Polish then successfully flipped the script to claim Set 2, only for another stoppage to be announced before Set 3 began.

Despite not having the brightest sunshine in the match, there was definitely a fireworks display as the two elite athletes gave their all in the Round of 32.
The score in Set 3 had tied three times, 3-3, 4-4, and 5-5, before the 20-year-old Guadalajara champion finally got an advantage and won the deciding set to successfully move on to the Round of 16.
