The second edition of the Reyes Cup is once again back in Manila and will be held at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium from October 16 to 19. The Reyes Cup is an annual competition that pays tribute to Filipino icon and GOAT Efren “Bata” Reyes, where some of the greatest billiard players from Asia and around the world will be pitted against each other in an intense showdown. Francisco “Django” Bustamante will be coaching Team Asia, while Jeremy Jones will take the lead for Team Rest of the World.
Team Rest of the World: Led by World No. 1 Fedor Gorst
Team Rest of the World features a stacked lineup led by the USA’s top player and current World No. 1, Fedor Gorst, who continues to set the standard after reaching the finals of two major events this year — the World Pool Championship and the US Open Pool Championship. Joining him is Moritz Neuhausen, Europe’s top-ranked player, who captured his first Matchroom major title at the Premier League Pool early this year. Also on the roster is Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, the runner-up in that same event and a former world champion, along with Skyler Woodward and Jayson Shaw.
On the other hand, Team Asia boasts a powerhouse roster headlined by Carlo Biado, the reigning 2025 World Pool Champion and current World No. 3. Joining him is Singapore’s Aloysius Yapp, the World No. 2 and this year’s US Open and UK Open Champion. Adding young firepower are rising stars AJ Manas and Vietnam’s Duong Quoc Hoang, both looking to make a statement on the global stage. Rounding out the lineup is World No. 4 Johann Chua, recently announced as the final member of the Asian line-up.
Team Asia triumphed over Team Europe 11–6 in last year’s showdown. Now, they’re set to defend their crown against an even more formidable squad.
