There were eight games around the Association on Monday, and unlike the other day, this game day had quite a number of down-to-the-wire finishes, including three that went to overtime. In the end, the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, and Utah Jazz were among the day’s big winners.

Rockets Survive Magic in OT

Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun teamed up to power the Houston Rockets (9-3) to a thrilling 117-113 victory over the Orlando Magic (7-7) in OT at Toyota Center.

Durant finished with a game-high 35 points on top of 6 rebounds and 5 assists, while Sengun put up 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. He also hit a buzzer-beating jump hook in the paint to send the game to extra time, while Durant hit a dagger step-back jumper in OT to give the Rockets a 113-110 lead.

Franz Wagner had 29 points to lead the Magic, who were without Paolo Banchero. Desmond Bane added 26.
