During the postgame interview of Agjanti Miller from the San Beda University after getting the Game 1 win against the College of Saint Benilde last December 2 2025 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, he told the media that he doesn’t feel pressured now that they are one win away from getting to the Finals.
Just Wanting to Finish the Series Already
The Fil-Am super rookie stood out in his first ever NCAA Season 101 semifinals ever putting up 29 points, 9 rebounds and an assist.
Most importantly though, his team won the game in dominant fashion against the CSB Blazers, 91 to 72.
When asked by Rebanse if there’s any pressure coming into Friday as they try and finish the series his response was:
“I don’t feel pressure at all. But it is a, you know what I’m saying, there’s pressure to finish that [game], just finish. But like I said, I don’t feel no pressure ‘cause we just gonna come in here and do the same thing like, we did yeah.”
Then when asked on does he block the thoughts of winning individual awards such as the Rookie of the Year or the Most Valuable Player trophies, his answer was:
“Like I said, I’ve been saying we just going to take it one game at a time and I’m focused on winning the championship and winning the next game. Outside noise doesn’t really bother me.”
Not Get Comfortable
Despite a blowout win, the 6-foot-4 guard said that in order for them to sweep the series come Game 2, they must not get comfortable.
“Not get comfortable, not getting humble. We won today but they can win the next game so coming out there, cause we know, they’re going to come out harder and have a ‘comeback game’ we just gonna stop that comeback game and finish the job.”
The San Beda Red Lions will look to end the series against the College of Saint Benilde Blazers, this Friday, December 2, 2025, at the Mall of Asia Arena at 12:00 noon.
