The 2025-26 NBA season continues chugging along, and so do fantasy managers. Here is our latest list of players to pick up for Week 9.
Take note, this list is mainly for those playing on Yahoo Fantasy, but it may still be applicable in your leagues.
Marcus Smart, LAL, PG/SG
Smart’s inclusion in this list may come as a surprise, but he recently scored 26 points in just 28 minutes off the bench against the Spurs, knocking down eight of his 14 three-point attempts. While those numbers are unlikely to be fully sustainable, his season averages of 10.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.6 three-pointers, and 1.7 steals across 15 games make him worthy of a look for most fantasy managers.
Jock Landale, MEM, C
With Zach Edey set to miss at least a month due to a stress reaction in his left ankle, Landale has reclaimed a spot in the starting lineup. When Edey missed the first 13 games of the season, the Australian big man stepped in admirably, averaging 10.7 points on 56.8 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 0.6 steals, and 0.5 blocks with just 1.1 turnovers. Rostered in only 12 percent of leagues, he is well worth a waiver wire add.
Maxime Raynaud, SAC, C
Raynaud has started back-to-back games since last week, posting averages of 12.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.0 block in 24.0 minutes per game. While the minutes remain limited, managers looking to stream a center for traditional big man stats should find value here. Rostered in 21 percent of leagues, Raynaud could still be available in many formats.
Gary Trent Jr., MIL, SG
After recently featuring A.J. Green in this series, it is now Gary Trent Jr.’s turn. Trent has hit at least one three-pointer in each of his last 14 games, a level of consistency fantasy managers can appreciate. With Giannis Antetokounmpo projected to remain sidelined until the 31st, Trent Jr., along with Green, should continue seeing opportunities as a reliable streaming option.
