Despite not having two of their best players Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, the Philadelphia 76ers still managed to steal a win from the Charlotte Hornets on November 11, 107-105.

The 2024 16th overall pick Jared McCain carried the offensive load by putting up a career-high 27 points while shooting 56% from the field. 23 of his 27 came in the second half and in overtime.

Helping McCain is French stat Guerschon Yabusele, who just created his finest performance of the season. Yabusele, who stood out during the 2024 Olympics after dunking over LeBron James, recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds to push Philly to their second win (2-8).

On a positive note, veteran point guard Kyle Lowry also makes history after the win. After finishing with 5 assists, Lowry now moves up to the 20th spot in the NBA all-time assists list, passing San Antonio Spurs legend Tony Parker.

Charlotte’s biggest stars, Lamelo Ball and Brandon Miller combined for 60 huge points. Ball made an outstanding 38 points, 8 assists, and rebounds while Miller finished with 22 points and 7 rebounds.

The Hornets will face the Sixers again on December 4 for an upcoming NBA Cup matchup.
