The UE Red Warriors ended their six-game losing streak with a 25-23, 26-24, 20-25, 25-22 victory over the Adamson Soaring Falcons in the UAAP Season 88 Men’s Volleyball Tournament at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.
UE also completed a season sweep of Adamson, boosting its slim Final Four hopes.
With the win, both the Red Warriors and the Soaring Falcons now hold identical 2-8 records, keeping their postseason chances alive, albeit needing favorable results from other teams.
“Stick to the basics. I was shouting at the sideline—‘basic, basic’—kasi kapag pinakomplikado pa namin ’yung galaw, baka mag-mix at hindi maka-execute,” said UE assistant coach Jumbo Dimaculangan.
“Balik lang kami sa foundation ng ginagawa namin, kasi ’yung execution darating naman ’yon.”
