The Adamson Lady Falcons strengthened their grip on a Final Four spot after sweeping the UP Fighting Maroons, 25-19, 25-18, 25-16, in the UAAP Season 88 Women’s Volleyball Tournament at the Quadricentennial Pavilion.

In the third set, the Lady Falcons and the Fighting Maroons exchanged points, tying the game at 11-all. However, Shaina Nitura, Joy Aseo, and Frances Mordi sparked a 14-5 run that completely shut the door on the Fighting Maroons.

With the loss, the Fighting Maroons were also eliminated from Final Four contention.

“We stuck lang talaga sa pinag-trainingan namin during the preparation namin. We always tell the players na mag-stay always focused and locked in, kasi anything can happen,” said Lady Falcons head coach JP Yude.
