UP Fighting Maroons star Niña Ytang and Letran Lady Knights Lara Mae Silva and Natalie Estreller are already looking ahead to the next chapter of their volleyball careers. And they might be headed to the country’s premier volleyball pro league after declaring for the 2026 PVL Draft.
Niña Ytang Looks Forward to the Next Level
Ytang, a three-time Best Middle Blocker in the UAAP, confirmed that she will enter the 2026 PVL Draft following the Fighting Maroons’ elimination from Final Four contention.
“Magpapa-draft ako this year,” Ytang said after their loss to the Adamson Lady Falcons, 19-25, 18-25, 16-25, at the Quadricentennial Pavilion on Wednesday, April 15.
Despite an injury-hit campaign for the Fighting Maroons, Ytang remained one of the team’s consistent performers, tallying 153 points built on 108 attacks, 34 blocks, and 11 aces. She also ranked among the league’s top blockers, averaging 0.71 blocks per set.
Beyond her PVL plans, Ytang shared that recovery and preparation remain her priorities after the season.
“After this season, siyempre pahinga, acads, tuloy sa acads, and tuloy ang conditioning ng katawan para sa next chapter ng volleyball career,” she said.
Lara Mae Silva and Nat Estreller Begin a New Journey
After helping Letran end a 27-year title drought, libero Lara Mae Silva and setter Natalie Estreller have set their sights on the PVL as well.
Silva, a three-time winner of the Best Libero Award in the NCAA, should attract plenty of interest at the 2026 PVL Draft as one of the collegiate ranks’ best defensive specialists.
Ditto for Estreller, who quietly put together a sterling career in Intramuros. In fact, she was one of Letran’s chief contributors on offense in Season 101, providing star Judiel Nitura with much-needed firepower.
After their superb collegiate careers, it probably won’t be much of a surprise if Niña Ytang, Natalie Estreller, and Lara Mae Silva hear their names called in the 2026 PVL Draft—maybe right in the very first round, in fact.
