The fighting pride of General Santos City has been officially elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 on Thursday, along with 13 new inductees to the rarefied group.

The former senator compiled a 62-8-2 record with 39 knockouts in his illustrious that began way back in 1995.

“I am so happy that I have been selected to enter the International Boxing Hall of Fame; this certainly is a wonderful Christmas gift. A southpaw, Pacquiao is widely considered one of the top fighters in the last two decades, a distinction he often shared with eventual nemesis Floyd Mayweather. The man known as the Pacman famously had rivalries with some of Mexico’s best—notably a tetralogy with Juan Manuel Marquez and a trilogy with Erik Morales.

Pacquiao the Headliner

Pacquiao is the undisputed marquee name of the International Boxing Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025, which includes former multiple-time champs Nunn and Paz. Paz, born Vincenzo Pazienza compiled a 50-10 (30 KOs) record highlighted by titles at light middleweight and super middleweight.
