The PBA Commissioner’s Cup continued on Sunday with another double-header at the Ynares Center, where one team pulled off a stunning comeback and two teams played essentially all-Filipino. Here is a recap of the action:
Northport Outlasts TNT for Franchise-Best Streak
Joshua Munzon led the Northport Batang Pier to their franchise-best fourth straight win on Sunday, firing away 20 points on top of 4 steals to help disconnect the TNT Tropang Giga, 100-95 in PBA Commissioner’s Cup action.
Munzon capped his superb two-way play by scoring five of Northport’s last nine points, including the dagger three that pushed the Batang Pier ahead, 100-95, with a little over a minute left. Import Kadeem Jack bucked early foul trouble to add 27 points and 11 boards, while Arvin Tolentino had 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson finished with 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 dimes for the Tropa, who were without Kelly Williams and Jayson Castro, and the suspended Poy Erram.
The league-leading Batang Pier (4-0) will next take on the Converge FiberXers on December 12 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. The Tropang Giga (0-2) will look to avoid an early 0-3 hole when they face off with the Magnolia Hotshots on December 11, also at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

NLEX Rallies Past San Miguel Behind Robert Bolick Masterclass
Robert Bolick fired 39 big points on Sunday to lead the NLEX Road Warriors to a come-from-behind 104-99 victory over the San Miguel Beermen
Bolick was at his best in the fourth canto, when he scored 20 points for NLEX. He punctuated his scoring spree with a difficult step-back four-pointer to nudge the Road Warriors up, 98-94, after falling behind by as much as 19 points in the third quarter.
Watkins added 17 points, 28 rebounds, and 4 blocks for the Road Warriors, who also got big contributions from Anthony Semerad (12 points) and Xyrus Torres (11 points). Quincy Miller’s 21 points and 11 boards paced the Beermen, while June Mar Fajardo added 20 and 19.
San Miguel (1-1) will try to bounce back when it takes on the Converge FiberXers on December 10 at the FilOil EcoOil Center. NLEX (2-1) shoots for three straight when they take on debuting Barangay Ginebra San Miguel on December 11 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
