The UAAP has postponed the UAAP Mobile Legends Tournament games scheduled for Monday, August 10, due to expected inclement weather and class suspensions declared by local government units.
The announcement comes a day after the UAAP also postponed its Esports Tournament games scheduled for August 9 because of weather conditions.
In its latest statement, the UAAP said the August 10 matches will be moved to a later date, with the new schedule to be announced separately.
The league also encouraged everyone involved to prioritize their safety and remain indoors whenever possible as weather conditions continue to be monitored.
UAAP Valorant Tournament to Proceed as Scheduled
While the Mobile Legends Tournament awaits a new schedule, the Valorant Tournament is set to begin on August 16, with eight universities divided into two groups.
Group A features Adamson University, University of Santo Tomas, Ateneo de Manila University, and University of the East, while Group B consists of National University, De La Salle University, Far Eastern University, and University of the Philippines.
The three-day Valorant schedule begins on August 16, with Adamson facing UST at 10:30 a.m., followed by NU against DLSU at 1 p.m., Ateneo against UE at 3 p.m., and FEU against UP at 5 p.m.
Action continues on August 17, with Adamson taking on Ateneo at 10:30 a.m., followed by NU vs. FEU at 1 p.m., UST vs. UE at 3 p.m., and DLSU vs. UP at 5 p.m.
The group stage wraps up on August 18, with Adamson facing UE, NU taking on UP, UST battling Ateneo, and DLSU meeting FEU.
The new schedule for the postponed Mobile Legends matches will be announced by the UAAP at a later date.
