The Miami Heat saw a seismic shift in their 2024–25 NBA Season with the trade deadline move to ship Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors. The team also went through stretches of adversity, including what could’ve been a backbreaking 10-game losing streak. But Miami recovered and still has a chance to backdoor its way to the postseason. We break down the Heat next.
Your Main Man: Bam Adebayo
Bam Adebayo doesn’t pass the eye test as a main man. He isn’t a main man. But fantasy-wise, at least in this Miami team, he is the top dog, at least for us. The numbers bear us out: 18.1 PPG (third in the team), 9.6 RPG (first), 4.3 APG (third), 1.3 SPG (second), and 0.7 BPG (third). He also plays the most minutes, which means more opportunities to accumulate those all-important stats.
Surefire Studs: Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins

Herro is Miami’s undisputed main guy now, with Jimmy Butler shipped to the Golden State Warriors. He has responded with a career year of 23.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 0.9 steals—stats you’d love to have for your fantasy team no doubt. He will be counted on to do more at this stage of the season if the Heat can do some damage late.
Wiggins, meanwhile, has settled in nicely with the Heat and has formed somewhat of a big three with Herro and Adebayo. In fact, he has improved his numbers in Miami, so much that he ended the regular season averaging 19.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 block. The points, rebounds, and assists are nice, all right, but the stocks are the stuff studs are made of, as they have lots of value.

Low Cost, High Value Picks: Nikola Jovic, Kel’el Ware
Jovic, the 27th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, has taken a bit more time to settle in but is now putting up a career-high 10.7 points per game—or two full points higher than his average back in December. He also finished the regular season putting up 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and nearly a steal a game. That’s all an improvement from early in the season, underscoring Jovic’s potential.
Ware, on the other hand, has emerged late for the Heat as the backup to Adebayo. In 64 games, the athletic big averaged 9.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 0.9 assist, 0.6 steal, and 1.1 blocks. These are stats you’d love to see for a low-cost pickup, and Ware is certainly capable of providing it every game.
