The Dallas Mavericks (20-11) took full advantage of the slumping Phoenix Suns (15-15), cruising to a 98-89 win on December 28.

Dallas Mavericks Top Performers:

Spencer Dinwiddie 15 PTS | 3 AST | 2 STL | 31.1 FPS

Dinwiddie should see a larger role with Doncic sidelined for at least a month. He averaged 17.0 points, 6.5 assists, and 3 steals in his last two starts.

Klay Thompson 11 PTS | 6 REB | 5 AST | 30.7 FPS

Thompson kept his double-digit scoring streak alive for the ninth straight game despite struggling from deep, hitting just 1-of-6. He also continued to deliver on defense with steady steals production.

Kyrie Irving 20 PTS | 4 REB | 5 AST | 30.3 FPS

Irving couldn’t replicate his 39-point explosion from the previous game but still connected on five threes for the second straight outing. He’s expected to ramp up his production moving forward as the Mavericks’ primary scoring option.

Daniel Gafford 16 PTS | 5 REB | 2 BLK | 28.5 FPS

Gafford should see extended minutes as Lively works his way back from a left hip contusion. He’s been efficient lately, shooting 18-of-25 from the field and providing consistent shot-blocking.

Quentin Grimes 8 PTS | 5 REB | 1 AST | 13.5 FPS

Grimes is poised for more court time. He’s a solid scorer, but his three-point shooting leaves room for improvement.

Phoenix Suns Top Performers:

Kevin Durant 35 PTS | 3 3PT | 3 REB | 37.6 FPS

Durant filled the box score in six straight games leading up to this contest. He’s also averaging 33.0 points and shooting 39-of-44 from the free-throw line in his last five outings.

Royce O’Neale 14 PTS | 2 STL | 2 BLK | 36.0 FPS

O’Neale had his best scoring performance in the last six games, but he preserved his fantasy value with a solid all-around contribution.

Ryan Dunn 5 PTS | 5 REB | 3 STL | 24.5 FPS

Dunn has logged more minutes recently due to injuries but has yet to deliver a standout performance.

Josh Okogie 8 PTS | 4 REB | 2 STL | 23.3 FPS

Okogie has had a few strong scoring games this season and has also proven he can contribute with steals.

Mason Plumlee 4 PTS | 9 REB | 2 AST | 17.8 FPS

Plumlee has been a decent rebounder despite limited minutes.

Biggest Disappointment of the Game:

Bradley Beal 11 PTS | 5-18 FG | 4 TO

Beal endured his worst shooting performance in the last six games, and his turnover numbers have surged in recent outings.
