Here are the players who made the biggest impact on October 27 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Jordan Bernard Murphy GIN PF 29 PTS | 11 REB | 4 BLK | 53.2 FPS

Murphy got the job done for Ginebra in Game 1. He made his presence felt early, scoring 18 points in the first half, and dominated the paint, leading all players in rebounds and blocks. His impact on both ends of the floor will be crucial for the Kings throughout the series.

Aaron Craig Fuller ROS SF 33 PTS | 14 REB | 1 BLK | 51.8 FPS

Down double-digits in the first half, Fuller took full command for ROS in the closing quarters, scoring 11 points in the third and adding 13 more in the fourth to lead his team to the comeback win. The veteran import also finished as the top scorer of the game while recording his second 30-point game of the conference.

Adrian Clarence Nocum ROS SG 26 PTS | 9 AST | 3 STL | 49.5 FPS

Nocum put on an absolute clinic on the scoring end. He caught fire in the first half, scoring 19 points on 6-for-7 shooting before finishing with a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range. He was just as dominant in other areas, posting game-highs in both assists and steals.

Earl Scottie Thompson GIN SF 17 PTS | 11 REB | 6 AST | 47.2 FPS

Thompson came through in a massive way in their Game 1 win. He was particularly impressive in the secondary categories, finishing with game-high marks in both rebounds and assists. Offensively, he also made his mark, finishing as the team’s top local scorer.

Cameron Clark CON PF 28 PTS | 8 REB | 1 STL | 39.6 FPS

Clark continues to produce for Converge. He got going offensively right away in Game 1, dropping 18 points on 8-for-10 shooting in the first half. Over his last six games, he’s been incredibly sharp, putting up 29.3 points on 64.9% shooting from two.

Jaymar Perez SMB SG 21 PTS | 7 REB | 2 STL | 39.4 FPS

Perez, once again, led the charge for SMB. Though he struggled in the first half, converting just 1-of-8, he was able to turn it around in the second half, notching another 20-point game. Despite dealing with multiple injuries this conference, he remains SMB’s best local scorer, averaging 17.6 points on 53% shooting from two.

George King SMB SG 20 PTS | 8 REB | 2 BLK | 36.6 FPS

Offensively, this was an unusual game for King. For the first time this conference, he finished scoreless from the line while also going 1-for-6 from long range, resulting to one of his lowest scoring performances.

Celedonio Trollano SMB SF 21 PTS | 5 REB | 1 STL | 31.0 FPS

Trollano provided San Miguel with strong offensive firepower from the bench. He started strong, scoring nine points in the opening quarter and was effective from all areas, finishing as the team’s top scorer while also recording his fifth 20-point game of the conference.

Caelan Todd Tiongson ROS PF 17 PTS | 4 REB | 4 AST | 27.8 FPS

Tiongson came through in their Game 1 win against Converge. Offensively, he was effective from all areas of the floor, finishing as their second-leading local scorer while also making an impact in other areas.

Rhon Jay Abarrientos GIN PG 16 PTS | 2 REB | 6 AST | 27.4 FPS

For most of the conference, RJ has struggled to find a consistent offensive rhythm, and today was no different. He had a difficult first half, shooting just 1-for-8 and finished with another subpar output. Over his last four games, he has averaged just 12.3 points.

Vince Petdeo Cuajao ROS SG 15 PTS | 4 REB | 2 AST | 24.8 FPS

Rain or Shine got a major offensive lift from their rookie in Game 1. He stepped up in the third, hitting three triples and a four to get his team back into the game. This was also a big positive for Cuajao after shooting just 2-for-15 from deep in his previous three games.

George Isaac Go GIN C 14 PTS | 4 REB | 1 BLK | 23.3 FPS

Go was a major factor for Ginebra in Game 1. He stepped up big offensively, hitting 4-for-5 from two and adding a pair of triples to finish as the Best Player of the Game while setting a new season-high in scoring.

Frederick Tungcab CON SF 12 PTS | 3 REB | 1 STL | 20.6 FPS

Tungcab gave Converge a major offensive boost from the bench, knocking down 4-of-5 threes for his third double-digit scoring performance of the conference.

June Mar Fajardo SMB C 3 PTS | 10 REB | 3 AST | 19.5 FPS

The nine-time MVP remained a steady presence on the boards, collecting at least 10 rebounds for the seventh time. He didn’t make the same impact offensively, however, shooting 1-for-6 and finishing with a conference-low after scoring 25 points in back-to-back games.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Michael Kurtiz Williams CON SG 3 PTS | 2 AST | 2 STL | 12.0 FPS

The former MVP just couldn’t get anything going in Game 1. He struggled badly from the field, converting just 1-of-12 attempts and scoring fewer than five points for the sixth time in his last seven games.
