Here are the players who made the biggest impact on November 3 and the stats to prove it.
TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:
Jordan Bernard Murphy GIN PF 17 PTS | 17 REB | 3 BLK | 45.9 FPS
Once again, Murphy finished as the top performer of the day. Though he struggled offensively, posting his lowest scoring game of the conference, he more than made up for it on the boards, collecting nine offensive rebounds to set a new conference-high. He should have no trouble putting up a similar performance in Game 4.
Juan Gerardo Gomez De Liaño CON PG 19 PTS | 13 REB | 6 AST | 41.6 FPS
The rookie guard continues to engine Converge’s playoff offense, pouring in nine of his points in the fourth quarter to put Game 3 out of reach. He finished with his third 19-point outing over his last four games while matching his conference-high in rebounds.
Earl Scottie Thompson GIN SF 14 PTS | 7 REB | 8 AST | 41.4 FPS
Thompson didn’t have the best night offensively. He shot a cold 5-for-15 from the floor and missed all four of his three-point attempts. Elsewhere, he was excellent, posting a near triple-double performance while making his presence felt on defense.
Cameron Clark CON PF 18 PTS | 5 REB | 5 AST | 37.5 FPS
For the first time in this conference, Clark was held under 20 points. Though he had a solid start, he went completely cold in the middle quarters, failing to convert a field goal and scoring just four points. Still, he had a great performance, making an impact in many ways.
June Mar Fajardo SMB C 18 PTS | 13 REB | 1 BLK | 34.6 FPS
Limited to just three points in Game 1, Fajardo responded emphatically, averaging 17 points on a blistering 14-for-15 shooting from two in his last two games. He’s been just as dominant on the glass, pulling down 11 offensive rebounds in that stretch.
Adrian Clarence Nocum ROS SG 11 PTS | 11 REB | 11 AST | 33.7 FPS
Nocum delivered a career performance in Game 3, posting his first-ever triple-double. He was far from efficient, however, shooting 3-of-12 and finishing with his lowest scoring output of the month while committing seven turnovers. Even so, he has been nothing short of spectacular in the series, playing at an MVP level.
Jonnel Policarpio CON PF 13 PTS | 7 REB | 3 STL | 29.9 FPS
Policarpio is fast becoming a major asset for Converge. Over his last four outings, he has turned in three double digit scoring performances, pulled down at least five boards per game, and averaged 2.5 steals.
Rhon Jay Abarrientos GIN PG 21 PTS | 6 REB | 3 AST | 29.7 FPS
For most of the conference, Abarrientos had trouble finding a consistent rhythm offensively. But he has picked up his game lately, averaging 18.5 points over his last four and finishing as the game-leading scorer in Game 3.
Christopher Ross SMB PG 7 PTS | 6 AST | 3 STL | 28.6 FPS
Ross hasn’t always contributed consistently, but he shows up when it mattered the most. He once again proved his worth in Game 3, leading the team in assists and steals while also serving as an anchor on defense.
George Isaac Go GIN C 17 PTS | 2 REB | 2 STL | 25.9 FPS
Go delivered a standout performance in Game 3, knocking down 7-of-10 attempts from the floor for his best scoring performance of the season. He has emerged as an important part of the Kings’ playoff offense, averaging 12.7 points and 2 triples in three games.
Felix Lemetti ROS PG 18 PTS | 3 REB | 2 AST | 25.6 FPS
In his first two games in the playoffs, Lemetti had a difficult time finding his rhythm, averaging just six points. But he finally broke through in Game 3, recording a team-high and conference-high scoring output.
Calvin Abueva CON PF 13 PTS | 10 REB | 1 AST | 25.5 FPS
The veteran forward has emerged as a key offensive contributor for Converge in the playoffs, scoring in double figures in each of his first three games. He made an even bigger impact in Game 3, posting his sixth double-digit rebounding performance of the conference.
Marcio Lassiter SMB SG 13 PTS | 4 REB | 2 AST | 22.8 FPS
Lassiter was a non-factor offensively in his first two games against Ginebra, scoring just two points on 0-for-12 shooting. But he came alive in Game 3, hitting three three-pointers to help SMB stave off elimination.
Vince Petdeo Cuajao ROS SG 16 PTS | 1 REB | 1 AST | 18.7 FPS
The guard has given Rain or Shine a major scoring boost in the playoffs. Through three games, he has averaged 13.6 points while shooting 8-for-15 from three-point range.
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:
Aaron Craig Fuller ROS SF 4 PTS | 13 REB | 1 STL | 24.6 FPS
Inside the paint, Fuller was a dominant force in the all conference, ranking as one of the top rebounders in the league and averaging 26 points through 12 games. While remained steady on the boards in the playoffs, averaging 14 per game against Converge, his offensive production took a significant hit in Game 3. He shot just 2-for-11 from the field, went scoreless at the line and recorded his lowest scoring output.
