Just five games in the NBA on Friday, but history was made nonetheless. We take a look at that milestone-making match and two others in our daily recap:
Warriors Waylay Kings as Steph Curry Makes History
Steph Curry made history as he powered the Golden State Warriors (38-28) to a 130-104 rout of the Sacramento Kings (33-32) at Chase Center.
Curry finished with only 11 points, but it hardly mattered as he made the two triples he needed to get to 4,000 career triples—a feat he and he alone can claim. Curry made history at the 8:19 mark of the third with a trey that gave the Warriors a 72-63 advantage.
Draymond Green topscored for the Warriors with 23 points, while Moses Moody added 17 points and 6 assists—including the one that led to Curry’s historic triple. Jonathan Kuminga returned from injury and had 18 points off the bench, while Buddy Hield and Gary Payton II had 16 and 11, respectively, also off the bench. DeMar DeRozan paced the Kings with 23 points.

Wizards Stun Pistons with Big Fourth

Rookie Alex Sarr led the way with 19 points, while Jordan Poole and Justin Champagne added 17 each for the Wizards, who outscored the Pistons 33-24 in the fourth. Washington also got 51 points of the bench, with Bub Carrington chipping in 16 and Marcus Smart adding 15 on top of 7 dimes.
