The Minnesota Timberwolves (42-32) controlled the game from start to finish and completed a 4-0 season-sweep over the Phoenix Suns (35-39) with a 124-109 victory on March 29.

Minnesota Timberwolves Top Performers:

Julius Randle 25 PTS | 6 REB | 8 AST | 50.2 FPS

Randle made a strong bounce-back after his 9-point showing against the Pacers, coming close to a triple-double. While he’s certainly capable of delivering numbers like this, he has been less effective in these areas over his previous five games. Nevertheless, he should be able to build on this performance and continue to make an impact in upcoming games.

Rudy Gobert 17 PTS | 13 REB | 4 STL | 45.1 FPS

Gobert caught his third consecutive double-double today and is poised to continue his strong performances in upcoming games, especially with favorable matchups ahead, excluding the Nuggets. However, he has been particularly effective in his last three games against the Joker, averaging 14 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 2.7 stocks.

Anthony Edwards 20 PTS | 4 REB | 5 AST | 33.3 FPS

Edwards continues to shoulder a heavy role in offense, but his scoring has seen a noticeable dip over the past three games after averaging 32 points during a six-game stretch. His struggles from three, coupled with an unexpectedly low free-throw production, have contributed to this decline. Despite this, he has managed to maintain his production in other areas. There’s also a possibility he could miss the next game after taking an elbow to the nose today, so it’s important to monitor his status.

Donte DiVincenzo 13 PTS | 5 AST | 2 STL | 27.9 FPS

DiVincenzo has been a steady hand in offense, shooting well and scoring in double-digits in all but one game this month. While his contributions in other areas have been a bit inconsistent, he continues to average good rebounds, assists, and steals.

Jaden McDaniels 16 PTS | 1 STL | 1 BLK | 27.1 FPS

McDaniels’ production has experienced a downtick recently, but he continues to be a starter and a big part of the rotation. Despite the dip in his numbers, he has had some strong scoring performances and has consistently delivered in the defensive end. His impact in those areas should remain valuable moving forward.

Phoenix Suns Top Performers:

Collin Gillespie 20 PTS | 5 REB | 10 AST | 45.0 FPS

Gillespie has been a regular in the starting lineup and should maintain his role as long as Beal remains sidelined. He delivered a highly efficient performance today, setting career highs in both scoring and playmaking. However, he’ll need to prove that he can produce on a more consistent basis before earning serious fantasy or roster consideration.

Kevin Durant 23 PTS | 6 REB | 2 BLK | 41.2 FPS

KD’s offensive game has come with outstanding efficiency lately, excelling in all three shooting categories and averaging 34 points over his last four games. While he wasn’t as sharp today, he still maintained a solid scoring output and compensated with a full stat-line. However, his recent level of play could be tested with a challenging stretch of opponents ahead.

Royce O’Neale 21 PTS | 2 REB | 2 AST | 26.4 FPS

O’Neale has been relatively quiet lately, but has turned it up today, raining down 7 three-pointers. However, given his current role and usage, it’s unlikely he’ll sustain this level of production moving forward.

Oso Ighodaro 6 PTS | 4 REB | 2 STL | 22.8 FPS

Ighodaro has settled into a reliable bench role this month. While not a high-volume scorer, he can chip in with efficient offense, good rebounding, and modest numbers in other areas. However, his fantasy upside remains limited unless the starters ahead of him underperform or miss games.

Tyus Jones 8 PTS | 4 REB | 4 AST | 17.8 FPS

Jones has been looking better in offense lately, putting up modest scoring numbers over his last four games while also contributing some rebounds and assists. However, his lack of defensive production and inconsistent outside shooting limit his overall upside.

Biggest Disappointment of the Game:

Devin Booker 10 PTS | 6 AST | 1 STL

Booker had another difficult game today, even going 1-9 in the first three quarters. He hasn’t been the same in his last four games, with his field goal percentage steadily declining while he continues to struggle from three-point area. His inconsistency in other areas, combined with his lack of defensive stats, only adds to the frustration. The only positive has been his reliable playmaking. What’s worse, his struggles may continue with tough matchups ahead.
