Paris Saint-Germain captured their first UEFA Champions League crown with a stunning 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the 2025 final held at Munich’s Allianz Arena. The emphatic win marked the largest margin in the competition’s final and ended years of near misses for the French club.

PSG Joins Marseille in Champions League Glory

The historic triumph makes PSG only the second French team to lift Europe’s top club trophy, joining Marseille (1993). It also came in their first season without superstar Kylian Mbappé, who departed for Real Madrid last summer.

Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring early, and 19-year-old Désiré Doué played a starring role with two goals and an assist. Further strikes from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu sealed the rout.

The win marked a major milestone in PSG’s evolution under Luis Enrique, who became only the second manager after Pep Guardiola to win the treble with two different clubs (Barcelona in 2015, now PSG in 2025). His tactical approach — emphasizing pace, structure, and team chemistry — paid off, as PSG completed the Champions League knockout rounds unbeaten.

PSG outshot Inter 23 to 8, recorded 3.23 expected goals, and dominated possession with 59% of the ball. Their new era, following the departure of superstars Neymar, Messi, and Kylian Mbappé, has now yielded Europe’s most coveted trophy.
