Alex Eala will now put all of her effort and focus on the Oeiras Open Singles as she and her teammate, Katie Volynets, get eliminated in the Round of 16 of the WTA 125 after battling against the American duo of Christina Rosca and Carmen Corley.

In the recent Miami Open 2025, Katie Volynets played against Alex in the Round of 128, where the Philippine tennis star won. Volynets, entering this Oeiras Open tournament, proudly representing the country of the United States of America, is ranked No. 80.
The two faced off against USA athletes, Rosca and Corley, who were ranked lower than them, as Christina is ranked No. 180 and Carmen is ranked No. 112.
Eala is ranked No. 72, teaming up with ranked No. 80. Surely this was going to be an easy game, right? But sadly, this time, there was no “magical run” for the 19-year-old superstar.
