The Arellano University Chiefsquad topped the NCAA Cheerleading Competition on Thursday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena to add a seventh crown to their dynastic run. And it isn’t just a seventh title—it’s seven titles in seven years.

Representing the blue and white, the Chiefsquad energized the crowd as—ironically enough—the seventh performer.

The Chiefsquad began their performance with their iconic “Arellano U!” university cheer, followed by a series of dazzling backflips complemented by synchronized dance sequences and daring acrobatic stunts.

The highlight of the afternoon for the champions was when they were able to successfully show a human-like pyramid, not just once but multiple times in their presentation.

Arellano also displayed an outstanding show of balance, composure, and creativity in their choreography—plus a successful ending pose to earn huge applause from the crowd.

Chiefsquad Continues Dynastic Run

With their near-flawless showing, the Arellano Chiefsquad copped their seventh title in seven years. They first won gold back in 2016 and have since had a stranglehold on this annual event.

The Chiefsquad accumulated 231 points for the win. They were then followed by the University of Perpetual Help Altas Perpsquad with a score of 221 points and the runner-up finish. The Letran Cheering Squad rounded out the podium with 199.5 points.

Interestingly, Arellano, Perpetual, and Letran have been the same podium finishers since Season 98 (2023), with the Chiefsquad, Perpsquad, and Letran Cheering Squad finishing in the same 1-2-3 positions.

Aside from the championship trophy, Arellano also took home the grand prize worth ₱100,000 for its victory. Perpetual Help received ₱75,000 as the runner-up, while Letran earned ₱50,000 for placing third.
