Bol Bol delivered a commanding performance to lead the TNT Tropang 5G to a dominant 118–92 victory over the San Miguel Beermen. The win was fueled by balanced scoring and defensive pressure, as TNT controlled the tempo and never allowed San Miguel to find sustained rhythm. It is the Tropa’s second win in this PBA Commissioner’s Cup to move to 2-1, while the loss dropped the Beermen to 1-2.

What Happened?

TNT wasted no time asserting control, riding the hot hands of Bol and Calvin Oftana to establish an early cushion. Their aggressive offense and efficient shot-making allowed them to build separation, while their defense kept San Miguel’s scorers in check.

San Miguel attempted to respond behind Marcus Lee and June Mar Fajardo, but struggled to generate consistent offense, shooting just 38.0 percent from the field. TNT, on the other hand, converted at a 46.6 percent clip and kept the pressure on throughout the contest.

As the game wore on, TNT continued to stretch the lead, with contributions coming from both the starting unit and the bench. The lead ballooned to as much as 29 points, effectively putting the game out of reach before the final period.

Who Stood Out?

Bol led the charge with 34 points on 14-for-28 shooting, adding 18 rebounds in a dominant two-way effort. Oftana provided strong support with 18 points on an efficient 5-for-9 clip, while Rey Nambatac added 13 points and steady playmaking.

For San Miguel, Lee paced the scoring with 30 points on 12-for-16 shooting, while Fajardo added 15 points and 20 rebounds in a strong individual effort. However, the rest of the squad struggled to keep up, as no other player was able to consistently provide offensive support.

3 Keys to the Game

  1. Balanced scoring. TNT showcased a well-rounded offense, with multiple players stepping up and the bench contributing 42 points to overwhelm San Miguel.
  2. Defensive pressure. TNT limited San Miguel to just 38.0 percent shooting, disrupting their rhythm and forcing difficult looks throughout the game.
  3. Control of momentum. From the opening quarter to the final buzzer, TNT dictated the pace, building a lead that grew to 29, and never allowing the Beermen a real chance to recover.
