Now, it is official.
Daily Fantasy, the first and only local fantasy sports platform in the Philippines, formally unveiled multi-titled coach Chot Reyes as its official brand ambassador on Saturday during the Daily Fantasy Coach Chot Challenge at the Events Hall of SM Southmall.
“Obviously, I’m honored this late in my career to have a company and a brand like Daily Fantasy to basically acknowledge my contribution and my value to Philippine basketball. I think it’s a nice feather in my cap,” said Reyes after the official announcement was made.
The grand event also saw Reyes pit wits with Justin Perez, a scout for the Bacolod City of Smiles in the MPBL, in a fun exhibition where the two coaches formed their own teams based solely on the brief descriptions of the participating players. Perez’s UBTG team won the game, which underscored the need for hoops knowledge and strategizing—two things Daily Fantasy players will need to win their respective leagues.

Coach Chot Issues Challenge to Daily Fantasy Players
At the conclusion of the fun-filled event, Reyes called on players to challenge him in Daily Fantasy, where they would play against the champion coach who recently piloted the TNT Tropang Giga to its second straight PBA Governors’ Cup title against Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
The challenge was for Sunday’s Toronto Raptors vs. Boston Celtics faceoff, which saw the Cs escape with a thrilling 126-123 OT victory on Jayson Tatum’s game-winning buzzer-beating triple.
As the Philippines’ first fantasy sports platform, Daily Fantasy allows Filipino hoops fans to play fantasy sports while watching live games, bringing an additional layer of excitement and testing fans’ knowledge of the game and of the players’ latest stats and trends. In other words, Daily Fantasy lets its players step into the role of a coach—just like Coach Chot.
