The Cavalry sealed their dominant campaign with a victory over Selangor Red Giants OG, capturing the 2025 MLBB Mid-Season Cup title on August 2 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Defending MSC Champions and MPL Malaysia Season 15 champions came out swinging in Game 1, with Yums on the Grock and Stormie on the Pharsa creating havoc across the map. Their relentless pressure overwhelmed Team Liquid, closing out the opener with a dominant 19-5 kill score.

SRG.OG started out hot again in Game 2 as Innocent on the Beatrix secured three early takedowns following the first turtle. But Team Liquid knows exactly what to do, playing with discipline to keep the game within reach. Sanford Vinuya then shifted the momentum with a series of decisive dives on his Lapu-Lapu, disrupting SRG’s positioning and helping TLPH even the series at 1-1.

Sanford’s Gloo Turns the Tide for Team Liquid

SRG.OG once again gained the upper hand in Game 3, building a commanding 11-3 kill score advantage—but Sanford proved to be the difference-maker once more. In a crucial turtle contest, his Gloo executed a daring dive, miraculously survived, and found the perfect angle to strike the backline. His play led to a massive four-man takedown, turning the tide in Team Liquid’s favor. Sanford delivered another clutch play later in the game, catching Innocent’s Granger undefended and securing a crucial pickoff, paving the way for Team Liquid to cruise to a 2-1 series lead.

Game 4 was all Team Liquid. They found their rhythm early and never let up, building a massive 13k gold lead and closing the game with a dominant 19-2 kill score. This time, it was KarlTzy who stole the spotlight, delivering a flawless performance on the Hayabusa and finishing with an impressive 4-0-10 KDA.

Team Liquid carried their momentum into Game 5, dominating once again to seal the series and capture the championship. With the win, they reclaimed the title for the Philippines after back-to-back runner-up finishes in the previous two editions. TLPH also made history as the first team in MLBB to win every major championship title. Meanwhile, KarlTzy further cemented his GOAT status by becoming the first player to win two M-World Championships and one MSC title, adding to his already impressive list of achievements.

The tournament was also a major success for the Philippine teams and talents. ONIC PH secured the bronze after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over their sister team, ONIC ID. Notably, all Top 4 teams in the semifinals featured Filipino players—ONIC ID was led by Kairi Rayosdelsol, while SRG.OG fielded Mark “Kramm” Rusiana and John Vincent “Innocent” Banal.
