The MLBB community erupted Friday afternoon as Grant Duane “Kelra” Pillas, the “Gold Standard” and arguably the No. 1 gold laner in the country, parted ways with ONIC PH. Kelra is instead set to go global by joining the reigning MPL Indonesia champions and their sister team, ONIC ID.
Kelra confirmed the transfer himself in a social media announcement.
Kelra the Gold Standard
One of the most decorated players in the country, Kelra first made his name in 2021 during MPL PH Season 7, where the 16-year-old rookie steered Execration to their first Grand Finals appearance before falling to Blacklist International. Shortly after, he announced himself on the world stage, this time leading his team over Blacklist in the finals to claim the MSC 2021 championship and the Finals MVP award.
Kelra later joined Fnatic ONIC PH in 2024, where he found further success. With Brusko returning following a stint in Indonesia and rising star KINGKONG reinforcing the roster, the team reached immediate heights. They tore through MPL Season 14 with a dominant 13–1 record before executing a flawless playoff run to seize the crown—earning the moniker “Super Family” in the process. That success carried over to the international stage as they stormed through M6 with another undefeated run. At the center of it all was Kelra, who claimed the Finals MVP in both events. In doing so, he became the first player in MLBB history to win the Finals MVP award across the top three MLBB tournaments.
Kelra Ready to Conquer the World
Now, he is looking to solidify his status as a world-class talent by joining powerhouse ONIC Indonesia, where he will join forces with fellow Filipino standout Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol. Kairi also previously played for ONIC PH. In 2021, he led the squad to the MPL Season 8 and M3 World Championship Finals, though both ended in defeats to Blacklist.
Since moving to Indonesia in 2022, however, he has cemented himself as one of MLBB’s biggest superstars, spearheading the rise of the Yellow Hedgehogs into a legendary squad. Together with his teammates, they dominated MPL ID, winning four consecutive championships (S10–S13). They also secured their best-ever finish by winning the MSC title in 2023 and came inches away from glory, nearly completing the elusive Golden Road before losing to AP. Bren in the M5 World Championship.
Though not as lethal as they once were—finishing 7th–8th in M7—ONIC is far from done. But with Kelra’s explosive firepower now on the roster, their championship pedigree becomes deadlier than ever. By pairing his individual brilliance with the squad’s proven experience, ONIC ID now stands as the ultimate threat to the Philippines’ long-standing dominance in the MLBB scene.
