NCAA Season 101 Women’s Volleyball: Letran’s Joralyn Panangin Stays Ready as Lady Knights on Cusp of Title

he Letran Lady Knights are in the finals of the NCAA Season 101 Women’s Volleyball Tournament, and one of the reasons they’re here is talent—lots of it. Among the many weapons of Letran is Joralyn Panangin, whose contributions off the bench have helped the team reach their third consecutive finals, where they’ll go for the title against the five-peat-seeking Benilde Lady Blazers.

That Panangin has become part of the rotation of coach Mayeth Carolino isn’t surprising. After all, she makes the most out of the minutes given to her. In their Game 3 semifinals victory against the San Beda Lady Red Spikers, for example, Panangin provided instant offense for Letran and finished with 4 points.

For Joralyn Panangin, it’s all about stepping up for the team.

“Gusto ko talaga mag-step up lang at gusto na naming mag-finals po,” Panangin said in an exclusive post-match interview with Rebanse.

Joralyn Panangin Stays Ready

Only in her second year with Letran, Joralyn Panangin is happy and extremely grateful that she has gotten her chance in Season 101 under Carolino. And while she’s not a starter, she’s always ready to contribute when her number is called.

“Sobrang saya namin kasi po hindi nga ako first six, kaya kung tawagin ni coach [Mayeth Carolino], gusto kong lumaban saka ready always po,” the 20-year-old noted.

Best believe Joralyn Panangin will be ready in the finals. Her fellow Lady Knights better be as well, as the Lady Blazers pose a serious challenge to Letran’s title aspirations.

Game 1 of the finals of the NCAA Season 101 Women’s Volleyball Tournament begins on Sunday, April 5, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
