From repeat-chasing Thunder to rebuilds that could rocket up the standings, this year’s slate is a fantasy goldmine. Rosters are stacked, rookies are hungry, and injuries, despite being unfortunate, just fuel values from the waiver-wire fire. But we’re not here for safe picks—we’re swinging for the fences with one bold prediction per team that’ll make your NBA experience more exciting this year. These aren’t showbiz takes; they’re the “told you so” calls that’ll lead you to have a fun disagreement with your friends! Buckle up and let’s dive into the chaos!
ATLANTIC DIVISION
Boston Celtics:
TD Garden will fall in love with Anfernee Simons, and he will not be traded this season.
Brooklyn Nets:
Egor Demin will start slow but will end the season as a Top 5 Rookie of the Year.
New York Knicks:
Josh Hart with thrive in the second unit and could have a good run as a 6MotY candidate.
Philadelphia 76ers:
Tyrese Maxey will take over Embiid as Philly’s Main Man despite both Joel and PG being healthier than expected.
Toronto Raptors:
Even with Ingram’s addition, Immanuel Quickley will finally have a breakout season that was delayed due to his injury last year.
CENTRAL DIVISION
Chicago Bulls:
Matas Buzelis will win Most Improved Player.
Cleveland Cavaliers:
Cleveland’s Big 3 will finally reach the Eastern Conference Finals. Mobley will finally take a leap.
Detroit Pistons:
Cade and Duren will elevate each other and become the best duo in the East statistically.
Indiana Pacers:
Of all possible beneficiaries of Haliburton and Turner’s usage hole, an unsung hero will stand out, and his name is Jarace Walker.
SOUTHEAST DIVISION
Atlanta Hawks:
Atlanta is going to finish the season top 4 in the East with the help of first-time All-Star Jalen Johnson.
Charlotte Hornets:
LaMelo Ball will play 60+ Games, which will enable his co-future star, Brandon Miller to break out.
Miami Heat:
Andrew Wiggins will not be traded and will be Miami’s leading scorer.
Orlando Magic:
As expected, Desmond Bane is going to help Orlando win more games as he shoots a career high in 3s this season.
Washington Wizards:
Alex Sarr will be an MIP contender and finish the season within top 75 statistically.
NORTHWEST DIVISION
Denver Nuggets:
Jamal Murray is going to be an All-Star this season, finally!
Minnesota Timberwolves:
Anthony Edwards will be this season’s scoring champ.
Oklahoma City Thunder:
Chet Holmgren will not be left out by Wemby’s growth and will also have an almost All-Star year.
Portland Trail Blazers:
Yang Hansen will be a Top 100 Player in the last month of the regular season.
Utah Jazz:
Lauri Markkanen will play more, but will play his last game as a Jazz by the trade deadline.
PACIFIC DIVISION
Golden State Warriors:
Bye Bye Jonathan Kuminga… He will not be a Warrior by 2026.
Los Angeles Clippers:
Kawhi will play more. The Clippers will win more. But it’s not going to be a strong statistical season for all Clipper Players, especially Ivica Zubac.
Los Angeles Lakers:
LeBron James will finally show signs of aging as Luka starts his Regime in LA.
Phoenix Suns:
The Mark Williams Experiment will be messy. He will be limited and will miss a lot of games.
Sacramento Kings:
The beam in Sacramento will not be lit. Down season for the Kings this year, aside from maybe Keegan Murray.
SOUTHWEST DIVISION
Dallas Mavericks:
Cooper Flagg will have a Wemby-like Rookie Season! Easy Top 50 Finish!
Houston Rockets:
Prayers will be answered in Houston, and everyone will say Amen! Top 15 Season is coming!
Memphis Grizzlies:
A series of unfortunate events in injuries will be Memphis’ biggest hurdle this season, but JJJ’s big year will be the silver lining.
New Orleans Pelicans:
Healthy Zion will breach 60+ Games this year, but his fit with Derik Queen will be challenging.
San Antonio Spurs:
Finally! It is going to be a Playoff Season for the Spurs, led by an MVP performance by Wemby.
