The Heat draw a juicy five-game week, and all of them are on the road out West. Rough travel, sure, but five games mean volume. Keep an eye on load management on who plays all five and who sits one. But starting every regular contributor is the default play here. Let’s see if the OG Heat Anchors like Bam and Herro get some steam, or someone from their solid vets like Norm and Wiggins will step up, especially if someone misses a game.
Sixteen teams get a solid four games. Spurs look elite with two vs. the Jazz plus the Pelicans. Victor Wembanyama is about to eat, and expects big outbursts from De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle, too. Nuggets and Clippers are right behind, both facing the Wizards. On the flip side, the Sixers have the roughest draw (Pacers, Suns, Rockets, Knicks), but at least they play all four games at home, unlike Toronto, which will play all games on the road, which is really tough, especially with several players already injured.
Eleven teams sit at three games. The Timberwolves have a fantastic schedule playing against the Jazz, Bulls, and Warriors. Ant should take advantage of this as he gets back to his form. Monitor Naz Reid’s status, as we might see Joan Beringer get some more opportunities. On the other hand, Houston might encounter some problems facing the Spurs, Sixers, and Pistons.
Only the Magic and Trail Blazers are stuck with two games. Both are at home, which is nice, but after Paolo Banchero and Deni Avdija (health permitting), you’ll be scraping the barrel for starters.
