The Los Angeles Clippers broke the game wide open with a furious second-quarter rally and did not let up, cruising to a 117-83 victory and a 2-1 series lead over a banged up Denver Nuggets on April 25.
Denver Nuggets Top Performers:
Nikola Jokic 23 PTS | 13 REB | 13 AST | 59.1 FPS
Jokic finished with his 20th career playoff triple-double today and almost his third in this series alone. Despite his consistent all-around production, the team finds itself trailing 1-2 in the series, largely due to a lack of reliable contribution from the supporting cast. He’s also faced challenges against Zubac’s defense, which has noticeably limited his shot attempts over the last two games. Still, with Denver looking to avoid a 1-3 hole, a more aggressive and impactful performance from Jokic should be expected in Game 4.
Jamal Murray 23 PTS | 4 AST | 1 STL | 29.0 FPS
Murray has been a steady offensive contributor, scoring at least 21 points in each of the first three games of the series. He’s shot at least 50% from the field in the last two, though his three-point shooting has cooled off after hitting seven in the first two games. Beyond scoring, he continues to provide value as a playmaker and remains reliable on the defensive end with consistent steals. With Westbrook also sustaining an injury before the game, he remains their only reliable point guard—and they’ll need him to step up even more to even the series.
Aaron Gordon 15 PTS | 2 3PM | 7 REB | 21.4 FPS
Gordon has been dealing with a calf issue but has played through it. He came out strong in the first quarter, dropping 11 points—including two threes—and crashing the glass for a couple of offensive rebounds. But slowed down the rest of the game. Despite logging 32 minutes, the injury remains a concern. While his presence remains vital for his team in this series, his numbers are unlikely to stand out with his limitations.
Christian Braun 9 PTS | 6 REB | 1 BLK | 22.7 FPS
Braun hasn’t quite met his usual standards through the first three games of the series. While he’s shot well in two of them, his limited usage has kept him from making a bigger impact. He’s also offered little production in other areas to compensate. With the team dealing with multiple injuries, they’ll need more from him if they hope to win the series.
Michael Porter Jr 7 PTS | 6 REB | 1 BLK | 17.7 FPS
Porter appeared on the injury report today after hurting his shoulder in Game 2. While he remained in the rotation, the injury clearly affected him—his impact was diminished, and he shot a rough 1-for-6 from three. With the injury, originally expected to sideline him for multiple weeks, his numbers may remain below his usual standards.
Los Angeles Clippers Top Performers:
James Harden 20 PTS | 6 REB | 9 AST | 39.7 FPS
Harden has put up three games with at least 32 points in recent weeks but he hasn’t been as productive in his last two games. Despite that, he continues to be a threat from outside while also excelling as a playmaker and limiting his turnovers. That said, he’ll remain one of the top fantasy options in this series.
Kawhi Leonard 21 PTS | 11 REB | 6 AST | 41.2 FPS
Kawhi came into Game 3 off a near 40-point performance in the Game 2 win, where he shot nearly 80% from the floor. While he cooled off a bit this time, he still made a strong impact, marking his third straight game with at least 20 points while also stepping up in rebounding. Since last month, he’s had just one game with fewer than 20 points and continues to deliver steady contributions across the board, helping the team win 20 of their last 24 games. With Denver’s top defenders battling injuries, there’s no reason for him to not continue dominating.
Ivica Zubac 19 PTS | 9 REB | 1 BLK | 32.3 FPS
Big Zu has been a model of consistency this season, continuing his solid contributions in both scoring and rebounding in three games this series. However, with his production somewhat capped in those areas, his output will likely remain around 30 fantasy points.
Nic Batum 12 PTS | 5 REB | 3 BLK | 30.0 FPS
Batum has been a solid two-way contributor in the series, racking up 9 made threes and 6 stocks over three games. With a steady role off the bench, he should be able to keep his momentum going.
Norman Powell 20 PTS | 3 AST | 1 STL | 28.7 FPS
Powell has been a reliable offensive contributor in this series, scoring in double figures in three games while also adding value in secondary stats. However, he’s still searching for a breakout performance—and Game 4 presents the perfect opportunity as his team aims to take a commanding 3-1 lead.
Biggest Disappointment of the Game:
Kris Dunn 6 PTS | 8 REB | 1 BLK
Dunn has delivered solid all-around numbers in the first two games of the series and has recorded at least 20 fantasy points in five of his last six games. However, he was less impactful today and inconsistency remains a concern.
