The Los Angeles Clippers (49-32) grabbed their seventh straight win and strengthened their playoff positioning in a nail-biting 101-100 win over the Sacramento Kings (39-42) on April 12.
Sacramento Kings Top Performers:
Domantas Sabonis 19 PTS | 16 REB | 5 AST | 44.7 FPS
Sabonis remains a reliable presence in the center spot, finishing with his fifth double-double this month and tenth of his last eleven. With the team fighting for home court advantage for the play-in tournament, expect no less than a dominant performance from him.
Zach LaVine 26 PTS | 4 REB | 5 AST | 37.3 FPS
LaVine got off to a slow start but has turned it around in the second half, scoring 25+ for the fifth consecutive game. He also remains an exceptional fantasy asset, posting 35+ fantasy points in that same stretch. While his game is still scoring-heavy, he’s shown improved playmaking lately, which should help sustain his strong production moving forward.
DeMar DeRozan 16 PTS | 3 REB | 8 AST | 31.6 FPS
DeRozan isn’t at his best on offense in his last two games. He struggled badly again today and missed what was supposed to be the game-winning shot. However, he compensated with another strong playmaking display and managed 30 fantasy points in 13 of his last 15 outings. But with his limited production on the defensive side, his production may not see much movement against the Suns.
Keegan Murray 9 PTS | 8 REB | 2 STL | 25.1 FPS
Murray missed their last three games with a back issue. While some offensive struggles are inevitable, he still finished with his usual production. He should also maintain this production with a favorable matchup in their final game.
Trey Lyles 9 PTS | 7 REB | 1 TO | 16.4 FPS
Lyles started in their last three games and delivered solid contributions. While he returned to the bench today, he still provided an impact on offense and turned in a respectable line for the PF spot. However, his fantasy upside remains limited in a reserve role.
Los Angeles Clippers Top Performers:
James Harden 23 PTS | 11 REB | 10 AST | 55.2 FPS
Harden has been on a roll lately, notching 20+ points and 10+ assists for the fourth straight game—and he took it up a notch today with the 80th triple-double of his career. Despite his stellar stat line, the Clippers narrowly escaped an upset. They held a comfortable lead for most of the game, but the Kings mounted a late surge to cut it to a one-point deficit. Harden’s late turnover gave Sacramento a shot at the win, but DeRozan came up short on a potential game-winning three.
Kawhi Leonard 28 PTS | 7 REB | 3 AST | 43.9 FPS
Leonard came out firing, dropping 20 points by halftime and extending his scoring streak to 14 straight games. He continues to be an elite offensive threat while also making major contributions in rebounding and in defense through steals, keeping his output strong. With major playoff implications riding on their final game against the Warriors, expect Leonard to keep delivering at a high level.
Ivica Zubac 17 PTS | 11 REB | 1 TO | 29.2 FPS
Big Zu appeared on the injury report with an ankle issue, but he played through it and recorded his 14th consecutive double-double—the longest active streak in the league. He’s been on an impressive run to start the month, delivering standout performances like a triple-double, a 20-20 outing, and another double-double while shooting at 100%. With that kind of momentum, expect him to stay impactful heading into the season finale.
Norman Powell 16 PTS | 2 REB | 1 STL | 21.9 FPS
Powell sat out the previous game with a shoulder issue but returned with his usual offensive sharpness, though he did little in other areas. But he should still be able to build on this performance and contribute 25 fantasy points or better against the Warriors.
Derrick Jones Jr. 11 PTS | 1 REB | 2 STL | 16.2 FPS
Jones returned to the bench after starting the last two games but maintained his usual impact, producing around 15 fantasy points. However, with the team battling for playoff positioning, an improvement is a long shot.
Biggest Disappointment of the Game:
Keon Ellis 5 PTS | 1 REB | 1 BLK
Ellis wasn’t much of a factor in this game after scoring 20 points with six threes against the Nuggets. Despite his heavy workload, his output has been disappointing this month—scoring 5 or fewer points in four games, with limited contributions outside of steals. However, he did reach 35+ fantasy points in two contests, so a stronger performance is possible against the Suns.
