Here are the top performers on January 18 and their stats to highlight their impact.

BEST PLAYER OF THE DAY:

Anthony Edwards MIN SG 55 PTS | 4 REB | 3 AST | 62.3 FPS (vs. SAS)

Edwards missed their last two games with a foot issue but delivered an explosive performance in his return. He was highly efficient, converting 8-of-10 from the line and hitting 9 threes to record his career-high, his third career 50-point performance and his seventh 40-point game of the season.

BREAKOUT:

Sam Hauser BOS PF 30 PTS | 6 REB | 3 AST | 45.7 FPS (vs. ATL)

The sharpshooter was dialed in from deep, knocking down a franchise-record 10 three-pointers to finish with his best scoring performance of the season. He’s now averaging 4 three-pointers per game  this month.

SLEEPER:

Tim Hardaway Jr. DEN SG 30 PTS | 5 3PM | 2 REB | 30.4 FPS (vs. WAS)

THJ continues to step up offensively, finishing with his best scoring game of the season. The Nuggets remain without several key players, so he should continue to play a big role on offense. This month, he’s putting up 18.75 points and nearly 4 threes per game.

ELITE ASSET:

Chet Holmgren OKC C 14 PTS | 11 REB | 5 BLK | 43.2 FPS (vs. MIA)

The big man finished with his 10th double-double of the year while making a big impact on defense. He’s had some inconsistencies this season but has been in top form in recent games, averaging 10.4 rebounds and 3.6 blocks over his last five.

CATEGORY SPECIALIST:

Brandon Williams DAL PG 22 PTS | 5 AST | 2 STL | 38.3 FPS (vs. UTA)

Over his last three games, Williams has been a very effective scorer, averaging 20 points on 62% shooting from the field while also providing positive value in other areas.

PLAYER TO WATCH:

Brandin Podziemski GSW SG 16 PTS | 6 REB | 7 AST | 39.7 FPS (vs. CHA)

After a rough start to the month, Podz is finally finding his rhythm. He’s averaged 16.7 points on excellent efficiency, along with 5 rebounds and 2 steals, over his last three games.

STREAMER:

Brice Sensabaugh UTA SF 25 PTS | 6 REB | 2 AST | 35.2 FPS (vs. DAL)

The third-year forward has been on a roll offensively. After dropping 43 against the Bulls, he followed it up with back-to-back 25-point games against the Mavs. With a busy four-game schedule this week, Sensabaugh should continue to play a big role for the team.

FLOPPER:

Stephen Curry GSW PG 14 PTS | 3 REB | 5 AST | 22.1 FPS (vs. CHA)

Curry started the month strong, scoring 27 and 31 points three times each. However, he hasn’t been at his best lately, shooting 2-for-8 from three for the second time in his last three outings.
