The Denver Nuggets (36-19) pushed their win streak to eight with a dominant 132-121 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers (23-32) on February 13.
Denver Nuggets Top Performers:
Jamal Murray 55 PTS | 4 REB | 5 AST | 71.3 FPS
Murray continues to deal with a knee problem but delivered a career-high in scoring and the third-highest scoring performance in franchise history. His field goal and three-point percentages have been exceptional lately, and he also added an impressive 8-for-9 showing from the free-throw line despite limited recent opportunities.
Nikola Jokic 26 PTS | 15 REB | 10 AST | 61.0 FPS
Jokic recorded another triple-double, his fourth this month and 25th of the season. He has also maintained his elite offensive contributions, scoring no fewer than 26 points and shooting no worse than 52% in eight straight games.
Christian Braun 21 PTS | 10 REB | 6 AST | 51.0 FPS
Braun has thrived against the Blazers, delivering back-to-back 20+ point performances on elite efficiency with strong all-around play. He has been a steady producer lately, nearing 40 FPS and 50 FPS three times each in his last seven games. Given his recent performances, he’ll likely maintain his starting role even when the Nuggets are back to full strength.
Zeke Nnaji 16 PTS | 5 REB | 4 BLK | 44.5 FPS
Nnaji has seen a significant increase in minutes this month due to injuries and has consistently provided good value in rebounding and defensive stats.
Julian Strawther 11 PTS | 3-7 3PT | 5 REB | 18.5 FPS
Strawther has posted good offensive numbers in his last three games while also adding value in rebounding. However, his production is likely to take a hit once the team gets healthy after the break.
Portland Trail Blazers Top Performers:
Donovan Clingan 17 PTS | 20 REB | 3 BLK | 52.0 FPS
Clingan has been outstanding in his last two games with the team thin in the frontcourt, delivering strong scoring on elite efficiency while also providing solid rebounding and shot-blocking numbers. He’s a must-have right now with Ayton expected to miss more time.
Anfernee Simons 26 PTS | 3 REB | 6 AST | 36.6 FPS
Simons continues to be a dependable offensive contributor, averaging 20 points and six assists with respectable shooting numbers this month. However, his overall output remains underwhelming for a player in a primary scoring role.
Shaedon Sharpe 14 PTS | 4 REB | 7 AST | 31.3 FPS
Sharpe struggled for most of the game but found some rhythm in the fourth. He’s been inefficient lately, failing to score more than 15 points in his last three games, with his three-point shooting remaining a major issue. While he can still put up points, he hasn’t contributed much in other categories.
Toumani Camara 13 PTS | 1 STL | 3 BLK | 29.4 FPS
Camara had a strong offensive start to the month but has since cooled off. However, he continues to provide excellent contributions in rebounding and defense.
Dalano Banton 14 PTS | 3-8 3PT | 5 AST | 21.7 FPS
Banton has been mostly outside the regular rotation this month, but injuries have opened up significant minutes for him in the last two games, where he’s delivered strong offensive production and recently added solid assist value. However, with the team getting healthier after the break, his playing time is expected to drop again.
Biggest Disappointment of the Game:
Deni Avdija 14 PTS | 5 REB | 1 AST
Avdija was on a roll last month, delivering strong and consistent production across multiple categories. However, his all-around play has been lackluster this month, with offensive struggles and a noticeable decline on the defensive end.
