The Indiana Pacers (43-30) got back to their winning ways with an astounding 162-109 rout of the Washington Wizards (16-57) on March 28.
Indiana Pacers Top Performers:
Tyrese Haliburton 29 PTS | 7 3PM | 6 AST | 45.4 FPS
Haliburton has been dealing with back and hip issues lately, causing him to miss six games across two separate stretches. However, he has looked sharp in his last four outings. His outside shooting, which had already been highly consistent recently, saw significant improvement today. Defensively, he remained steady, recording at least one steal and one block for the third consecutive game. The only dip was in his playmaking, as he couldn’t maintain his double-digit assist numbers after achieving them in every game this month. But with his performance today, he became the first player in franchise history to achieve 25+ points, 5+ threes, and 5+ assists in under 25 minutes (per @Statmamba on X). Even with a pair of tough matchups ahead, he should still be a reliable double-double threat in both games.
TJ McConnell 10 PTS | 9 REB | 8 AST | 31.8 FPS
McConnell came close to recording a triple-double in just under 20 minutes of play. He remains a strong contributor in those areas, consistently putting up solid stats despite his limited minutes. However, given the team’s depth, it’s unlikely he’ll be able to replicate that performance on a consistent basis.
Andrew Nembhard 7 PTS | 4 REB | 8 AST | 25.8 FPS
Nembhard played limited minutes today but still recorded his third game in the last six with 7+ assists. However, he has yet to establish consistency in scoring and will face an even bigger challenge with a pair of tough games ahead.
Myles Turner 17 PTS | 4 3PM | 5 REB | 25.0 FPS
Turner has been on a roll lately, performing at his usual elite level on both ends of the court. He has scored in double digits four times in his last five games, including two 20-point performances. Defensively, he’s been racking up rebounds and stocks. While he couldn’t quite keep it going today due to limited minutes in the blowout, he should be able to maintain this trend in the upcoming games.
Aaron Nesmith 11 PTS | 3 3PM | 4 REB | 13.8 FPS
Nesmith has been a steady hand on offense, scoring double-digit points in seven of his last eight games. He’s been highly efficient from the field and productive from three, while also providing good rebounding value. He’s a solid streaming option for deeper formats in those areas, but it might be best to pick him up after their game against the Thunder.
Washington Wizards Top Performers:
Alex Sarr 22 PTS | 7 REB | 1 BLK | 35.9 FPS
Sarr’s offensive game remains a work in progress in all three areas. Despite the inefficiency, he has emerged as the team’s best player lately, scoring 19+ points in seven of his last nine games. Defensively, he’s just as impactful, contributing solidly in rebounding while also standing out in stocks, averaging 2 blocks and 1 steal during his recent stretch.
Justin Champagnie 15 PTS | 7 REB | 2 STL | 28.9 FPS
Champagnie has been starting lately with several players in and out of the lineup and delivered another strong scoring and rebounding performance in his second-straight game, following a disappointing four-game stretch. However, consistency has been a recurring issue for him this month, so it would be better to monitor him first.
Bub Carrington 13 PTS | 4 REB | 6 AST | 27.8 FPS
Carrington continues to face some offensive struggles, but he’s picked it up with two double-digit scoring games in his last three. His fantasy value remains capped due to his limited scoring, but he’s maintained solid production in other areas over his past three games. He remains a starter so he should be able to sustain his rebounds and assists.
Jordan Poole 18 PTS | 3 AST | 2 STL | 26.5 FPS
Poole has been a dependable scorer over his last five games, posting 18+ points in each contest with strong efficiency and three-point production. The only downside is his limited contributions elsewhere. It’s probable that he will maintain this level of output in the remaining games, now that the team is out of playoff contention.
Colby Jones 12 PTS | 2 AST | 3 STL | 25.4 FPS
Jones has played a significant role off the bench in his last three games and should maintain it as long as George is unavailable. He can contribute in multiple areas and has been reliable with three-point shooting and defensive stats, but he has yet to put up stronger performances to be considered for rostering.
Biggest Disappointment of the Game:
Pascal Siakam 13 PTS | 5 AST | 1 STL
Siakam delivered an efficient scoring performance but finished with subpar production as the game turned into a blowout. He has been a strong contributor for most of the season but has been trending in the wrong direction at a crucial time. His scoring has declined recently, with 15 or fewer points in his last three games after scoring 25+ in five of his previous six. On top of that, his contributions in other categories have been inconsistent in recent weeks.
