The Houston Rockets regained homecourt advantage after seizing control with a dominant fourth quarter and securing a 115–107 victory in Game 6 of the NBA Western Conference First Round series on May 03.

Golden State Warriors Top Performers:

Jimmy Butler 27 PTS | 9 REB | 8 AST | 51.8 FPS

Butler has racked up at least 25 points along with elite rebounding and playmaking in three games in this series. He’s also been very effective in scoring and at the freethrow line but his outside shooting remains a weakness, going 1-for-6 today. They’ll need him to maintain his strong all-around play and also improve his shooting in Game 7 for them to win the series.

Stephen Curry 29 PTS | 7 AST | 2 STL 44.4 FPS

Curry started strong, scoring 26 points and going 5-for-11 through the first three quarters. But he struggled badly against the Rockets’ defense in the fourth, managing just 3 points on 1-for-7 shooting from the field and 1-for-5 from three. Turnovers have also become a major issue, as he’s averaging four per game in the series. Despite that, he still had a much better scoring performance than his last two games and could use it to build momentum heading into Game 7.

Draymond Green 8 PTS | 7 AST | 3 BLK | 29.5 FPS

Green has yet to score in double digits in the series, but he has remained a major factor with his defensive contributions, totaling 18 stocks and maintaining a solid rebounding average in six games. He should also continue to play a key role on both sides of the court and provide impact in multiple areas for them to have a bigger chance at winning.

Brandin Podziemski 10 PTS | 7 REB | 3 AST | 23.9 FPS

Podz has cooled down since his 26-point performance in Game 4. While he hasn’t been much of a scoring threat in this series, he has maintained strong output by contributing in other categories. However, with the Warriors struggling heavily on offense, particularly in the fourth quarter. They’ll need him to rediscover his offensive rhythm again if they want to win the series.

Moses Moody 13 PTS | 2 REB | 1 BLK | 18.9 FPS

Moody has provided a big offensive spark and has become a reliable three-point threat in the last two games. They’ll need another strong scoring performance from him in Game 7 to have a chance of moving on to the next round.

Houston Rockets Top Performers:

Alperen Sengun 21 PTS | 14 REB | 6 AST | 53.8 FPS

Sengun has been playing out of his mind. He delivered another outstanding all-around performance, recording his third 20-point game, sixth with 9+ rebounds, fourth with at least 5 assists, and fifth with at least two steals in the series—leading the team in all those categories. His versatility will remain vital if they hope to advance to the next round.

Fred Vanvleet 29 PTS | 8 REB | 8 AST | 48.6 FPS

Fred struggled to begin the series but has completely turned things around and has been the best offensive player over the last three games—scoring at least 25 each game with outstanding shooting splits, including a series-best mark from three. With a strong momentum, he’s set to make a big impact again in Game 7.

Steven Adams 17 PTS | 5 REB | 3 BLK | 35.0 FPS

Adams was the difference maker in the game, providing solid defensive output while also making the Warriors pay for fouling intentionally, going 9-for-16 from the freethrow line. With his steady play on both ends, he’ll remain a crucial asset for the team in Game 7.

Amen Thompson 14 PTS | 7 REB | 3 STL | 32.4 FPS

Thompson has been making a big impact with his inside game, providing solid rebounding and scoring over the last three games. The Rockets have consistently exploited the Warriors’ weakness in that area, so he should continue to take advantage. Beyond that, he’s also elevated his defensive play recently, tallying 11 stocks in his last two games. With his two-way impact, he’ll remain a major factor in Game 7.

Tari Eason 8 PTS  | 4 STL | 1 BLK | 26.9 FPS

Eason has been a reliable contributor off the bench in the last five games. While some inconsistency is inevitable, he continues to find ways to contribute with his all-around play.

Biggest Disappointment of the Game:

Jalen Green 12 PTS | 5 REB | 3 AST

Green continues to struggle in the series, posting his fourth straight subpar performance. He’s been off offensively, shooting under 35% from the field and just 20% from three. However, he did have a strong scoring outing in Game 2 at home and could do that again in Game 7.
