The severely shorthanded Minnesota Timberwolves (31-25) controlled the game from start to finish, ending the seven-game win streak of the Oklahoma City Thunder (44-10) with a commanding 116-101 victory on February 14.

Minnesota Timberwolves Top Performers:

Naz Reid 27 PTS | 14 REB | 7 AST | 56.1 FPS

Reid has been thriving as a starter, recording a double-double in four of his last six games with five games of scoring 20+ points while consistently providing good value on defense. But his numbers are likely to take a hit with the starters back after the break.

Anthony Edwards 23 PTS | 7 AST | 3 STL | 50.1 FPS

Edwards’ scoring has dropped since his recent three-game stretch of 40+ points. His shooting percentages have been rough, but he maintained his production with elite free-throw shooting while continuing to impact the game across the board, contributing solid steal numbers and making a noticeable effort to cut down on turnovers.

Jaden McDaniels 21 PTS | 6 REB | 5 AST | 35.7 FPS

McDaniels is a defensive specialist but has been impressive offensively this month, shooting well in seven of eight games while also reaching 20 or more points four times, all while maintaining his strong all-around game.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker 14 PTS | 4-9 3PT | 6 REB | 22.2 FPS

NAW is a capable scorer but hasn’t been able to build his momentum and confidence. His fantasy value has been boosted by good contributions in rebounding and playmaking, but his production will likely drop once the team returns to full strength after the break.

Rob Dillingham 6 PTS | 3 REB | 5 AST | 17.1 FPS

Dillingham has the potential to be a good scorer and playmaker, but consistency remains an issue.

Oklahoma City Thunder Top Performers:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 24 PTS | 8 REB | 9 AST | 46.1 FPS

SGA had a rare off-shooting performance today, marking just the second time all season he has shot this poorly from the field. It also ended his streak of 22 consecutive games with at least 25 points. He has struggled with free throws lately, but he did the exact opposite today, going a perfect 11-for-11 from the line. Meanwhile, his three-point shooting had shown big improvement but took a step back in this game. His defensive numbers remain highly inconsistent as well, but he compensated with strong playmaking this month.

Chet Holmgren 11 PTS | 12 REB | 2 STL | 38.4 FPS

Holmgren’s shooting percentages have been a little off in his first three games back from injury, but he has stepped up defensively, consistently providing good rebounding numbers along with big defensive stats.

Jalen Williams 20 PTS | 5 AST | 1 STL | 36.1 FPS

JDub’s production has dipped slightly this month, with some struggles in three-point and free-throw shooting. However, he remains a steady all-around contributor and should post stronger numbers after the break.

Isaiah Hartenstein 10 PTS | 12 REB | 2 BLK | 27.9 FPS

Hartenstein has played alongside Holmgren in three games but has maintained his scoring and rebounding production. He’s unlikely to have big scoring games with Holmgren returning to form, but his solid defensive numbers make up for it.

Aaron Wiggins 10 PTS | 3 REB | 1 BLK | 18.1 FPS

Wiggins has seen a larger offensive role this month due to injuries and has taken advantage, posting multiple strong-scoring games while contributing meaningfully across the board. However, his production is expected to decline as the team gets healthier.

Biggest Disappointment of the Game:

Isaiah Joe 1 PTS | 1 REB | 3 AST

Joe is a strong offensive option and plays a key role off the bench, but his shooting has been shaky lately, and missed all of his shots in this game.
