The Sacramento Kings (6-4) surged in OT to defeat the Phoenix Suns (8-2) 127-118, on November 11.

DeMar DeRozan took over in the fourth and overtime, dropping 24 of his 34 points to help the Kings get back in the winning column. De’Aaron Fox was his partner in crime, scoring 21, including 8 in overtime, and adding 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Domantas Sabonis manned the interior with 20 points and 12 rebounds while Keegan Murray had a double-double of his own with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Bradley Beal put up a strong showing for the Suns with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Devin Booker orchestrated their offense with 23 points and 12 assists while Tyus Jones added 22 but their combined efforts couldn’t prevent their 7-game win streak from coming to an end.

DeRozan Stole the Show from Booker

Jones gave Phoenix a head start, hitting his first 3 three-pointers while Booker scored 9 points and dished out 4 assists to help them take the lead (23-20). But the Kings took control of the game with a 16-5 flurry. The Suns fought hard in the second but the Kings, ignited by Huerter and Fox unleashed a powerful 20-10 push towards the end to give them a 7-point cushion.

Sacramento sustained their strong play in the third stretching their lead to (66-55). The Suns, however, refused to fold and battled back to keep the game close and later on emerged with a 3-point lead, after Allen sank a three with 4.2 seconds remaining.

Booker opened the final frame with 6 quick points, extending their lead to (92-81) but DeRozan retaliated with 12 to bring his team to just 3. The Suns led for most of the time until the Kings stormed back with a 14-7 run, snatching a 1-point lead with a tip-in from Muray. But he made a costly foul in the next possession, allowing the Suns to stretch the game to OT.
