The Los Angeles Lakers celebrated a well-rounded win over the Jimmy Butler-less Miamo Heat after a spread-scoring and smooth-sailing come-from-behind victory, 117-108.
Miami contained Los Angeles in the first half of the matchup, taking both leads in the first and second quarters. However, the Lakers made an abrupt adjustment in the third, and LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, Anthony Davis, and Austin Reaves flipped the script and suddenly switched to high gear after halftime – hitting shot after shot, and moving the ball seamlessly to find the open man.
Six Laker players tallied double-digits in the win: Hachimura (23), James (22), Davis (22), Christie (16), Reaves (14), and Vincent (14).
The LA Lakers played great basketball against the Miami Heat, something they’ve been failing to do since the beginning of the season. Aside from a complete team effort led by a 40-year-old LBJ, the Lakers also surprisingly played great defense. As a team, they had 12 steals and forced 19 turnovers from the Heat.
The visiting Miami wasted Tyler Herro’s epic performance after giving up a potential dub. Herro went for 34 points, including 7 triples, as he leads his team without Jimmy Butler, who’s been having issues with the Miami Heat management.
