The Los Angeles Clippers are back on the road again for a 4-game away schedule, and their first stop is against the struggling Philadelphia 76ers, whom they easily handled in a blowout win on Monday, 125-99.

The Clips took control throughout 48 minutes and never gave the Sixers a chance to bounce back. They started the game strong, shooting well from behind the arc and clearing the path for James Harden in transition. But, by the third quarter, Los Angeles’ lead ballooned up to 33 points, eventually winning the game by a huge margin.

Clippers Dominate on Both Ends in Blowout Victory

As a team, the LA Clippers were shooting better compared to the 76ers. They completed 12 out of 30 (40%) from three compared to the Sixers 9-for-39 (23.1%). The Clippers also outrebounded Philly, 44-33, and they also dominated the painted area, 64-50.

Harden finished with 23 points and 8 assists while Ivica Zubac recorded a 16-point, 14-rebound double-double to secure their 5th straight victory.

Meanwhile, with Joel Embiid and Paul George out due to knee injuries, it’s now up to the young backcourt duo of Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain. Unfortunately, both studs were ice-cold against LA. Maxey had 17 points but was 5-for-13 from the field while McCain, who led the team with 18, only shot 3 out of 15 attempts. Head coach Nick Nurse admitted that he was disappointed with the blowout, mainly due to the team’s lackluster effort and energy. They were being outplayed on both ends of the floor from gun start until the final buzzer.

On the other hand, the Sixers, now 3-13, will have to prepare for the worst with Embiid and George missing a lot of games. They will stay at home until Thursday to face the surprising Houston Rockets without their two best players.

The Los Angeles Clippers improve their record to 11-7 (5th in the West) to take on the defending champs tomorrow, the Boston Celtics.
