It was a very busy day in the NBA on Thursday on two fronts: 11 games played and lots of trades and rumors going on. But, through all that, we found three notable games just for you:
Cavs Eke Out Win vs. Pistons on Darius Garland’s Game-Winner
Darius Garland hit a game-winning buzzer-beating three from the center court logo to give the Cleveland Cavaliers (41-10) a 118-115 triumph over the Detroit Pistons (25-26) at Little Caesars Arena.
Garland’s buzzer-beater came after Cade Cunningham scored nine points in under a minute to tie the game at 115 after the Cavs had taken a 112-106 lead with under two minutes left.
Evan Mobley top-scored for the Cavs with 30 points to go along with his 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Garland finished with 25 points, with Jarrett Allen adding 6 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists. Cleveland played without star guard Donovan Mitchell due to a shoulder contusion.
Cunningham fired a game-high 38 points on top of 7 rebounds and 9 assists, while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 20.

Spurs Escape Hawks to Give De’Aaron Fox Winning Debut
Victor Wembanyama hit the game-winning free throw with 2.4 ticks left to lead the San Antonio Spurs (22-26) to a thrilling 125-124 victory over the Atlanta Hawks (23-28) at State Farm Arena.
Wembanyama finished with 24 points and 12 boards, while newly acquired guard De’Aaron Fox put up 24 markers of his own on top of 5 boards and 13 dimes. Devin Vassell added 20 and Jeremy Sochan had 15 off the bench for the Spurs, who nearly squandered a 20-point lead.
Trae Young led the way for the Hawks with 32 points and 12 assists, with Onyeka Okungwu adding a career-high 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Thunder Rout Suns Behind 50-Piece from SGA
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander fired 50 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder (40-9) to a 140-109 dismantling of the Phoenix Suns (25-25) at Paycom Center.
Gilgeous-Alexander shot 18-for-29 from the field and 11-for-12 from the charity stripe in his third 50-point game in a seven-game span. Aaron Wiggins added 17 and Jalen Williams chipped in 13.
Bradley Beal led the Suns with 25 points off the bench, while Devin Booker added 19.
