Just two games in the NBA on Tuesday, and here’s what went down:
Kings Stop Pistons as Play-Ins Loom
Zach LaVine took charge to power the Sacramento Kings (39-40) past the Detroit Pistons (43-26), 127-117, at Little Caesars Arena.
LaVine fired a game-high 43 points on eight triples to lead the Kings to victory and win what was a shootout with Detroit’s Cade Cunningham, who finished with 35. DeMar DeRozan added 37 points, while Domantas Sabonis put up 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. Jonas Valanciunas chipped in 10 markers and 12 boards off the bench.
Tim Hardaway Jr. backed up Cunningham with 19 points, while Ausar Thompson and Malik Beasley chipped in 15 and 14, respectively, for the Pistons, who fell two games back of the Milwaukee Bucks for the fifth seed in the East.

Heat Drop Sixers for Seventh Win in Nine Games
Kel’El Ware had 19 points and 17 boards to help the Miami Heat (36-43) to a 117-105 win over the Philadelphia 76ers (23-56) at Kaseya Center.
Duncan Robinson topscored for the Heat with 21 points off the bench on 5-for-6 shooting from downtown, while Tyler Herro added 20. Davion Mitchell and Pelle Larson chipped in 12 apiece for the Heat, who are gearing up for the play-ins.
Quentin Grimes and Lonnie Walker IV led the way for the Sixers with 29 apiece. Adem Bona added 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Philadelphia has already been eliminated from playoff contention after struggling through an injury-ravaged campaign.
