It was a busy 12-game day for the NBA on Thursday, and two superstars—Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors—certainly stole the show with extraordinary performances. Meanwhile, the league’s best team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, continued their strong start to the season by humbling the red-hot Los Angeles Lakers. Let’s dive into the action, shall we?

Nikola Jokic erupted for 55 points on Thursday to lead the Denver Nuggets (9-2) to a 130-116 victory over the reeling Los Angeles Clippers (3-8) at Intuit Dome.

Jokic also added 12 rebounds and 6 dimes to his monster outing. Aaron Gordon chipped in 18 for the Nuggets, while Jamal Murray and Tim Hardaway Jr. put up 15 and 12, respectively.
James Harden had 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists for the Clippers, who have now lost six straight and seven of their last eight. Jordan Miller added 22 off the bench.

Curry’s 29 points were part of the Warriors’ 76-point second half that allowed them to overcome a seven-point halftime deficit. The four-time champion finished with 46 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jimmy Butler added 28 points and 8 dimes to help the Warriors overcome triple-doubles from the Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle.
