There were only three games in the NBA, so let’s dive into all of them:

Pistons Upend Hornets Behind Cade Cunningham’s Strong Game

Cade Cunningham put up a triple-double to help the Detroit Pistons (27-26) notch a 112-102 victory over the Charlotte Hornets (13-37) at Little Caesars Arena.

Cunningham finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists for his eighth triple-double of the 2024–25 NBA season—the third-most in Pistons history. Tobias Harris added 20 points and Jalen Duren had 16 points and 12 boards in Detroit’s wire-to-wire triumph.

Miles Bridges scored a game-high 30 points for the Hornets, who were still within 93-90 after starting the fourth on a 14-0 blast. Seth Curry added 26.

Cam Whitmore and Jock Landale chipped in 11 apiece, also from the bench to help the shorthanded Rockets, who were without Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams. Bucks Upend Sixers Even Sans Giannis Antetokounmpo

Damian Lillard fired 43 points to lead the Milwaukee Bucks (28-23) to a 135-127 win against the nearly full-strength Philadelphia 76ers (20-32) at Fiserv Forum.

Lillard added 7 rebounds and 8 assists to his onslaught as he outgunned the Sixers’ Tyrese Maxey, who scored 39—the 18th straight time he has scored at least 25. Gary Trent Jr. backed up Lillard with 23 points off the bench on seven treys off the bench, while Bobby Portis added 18, also as part of the Bucks’ second unit. Milwaukee played a fourth straight game without star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is expected to be out until after the All-Star break.

Joel Embiid, playing in only his 15th game this 2024-25 NBA season had 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists. Paul George, meanwhile, continued to underwhelm as a Sixer, finishing with 12 points.
